Having 60lb boxes delivered by Post Office is a problem. I found a dealer who will sell me pure lead scrap at a decent price and hardball alloy for $1.65/lb but he has to order the alloy and shipping to Ca is $700/1000lbs and $1000 for a ton. My...

I have not seen one snake this year and the gophers were out of control until this guy showed up. He really likes gophers so I keep the weeds cut short and he sits in one of the trees and waits for dinner.

It’s been awhile since I have bought any but IIRC an extra powder bar was $14 from Dillon (each press comes with two) so I just leave them pre set for the load and swap them out like this. No need to adjust them at that point.

You don’t have to have loaded very long to know that how much force it takes to seat a primer is dependent on each case. Whey folks always say certain brands of cases have “tight” primer pockets and such, it takes more force to properly seat them....

With that tool your back to.... If you are just seating to the same number on the gauge. Reading the description of that one it still says seat by “feel” though. I guess the gauge would let you know the different depths of primer pockets.

You can measure their height and use the shortest one, I have even. Turned them down making them shorter instead of the mouth of the die but at some point you can remove enough material that you break the top out extracting cases from the size die....

I had to turn a bit off the mouth of my 458 socom size die for my RRA upper. Really wouldn’t matter much if you filed, sanded or ground it either, you will be in the radius portion of the die, won’t take much at all.

The Forster co-ax is seat to a pre set depth. The Lee Load master and Dillon 1050 you set the depth and the primer is seated to the depth you adjusted it to, no “feel” involved.
