Brent I put an over shot card under the shot, just because it seems like a good idea. The old timers said it gives a better pattern but I have never tested it. My load is simular in my James & sons 10 bore.

Looks like a limit of geese, congrats Brent D, several times after visiting my son in Topeka I would drive stright east on the state highway instead of getting on 70. The area around where you cross the Delaware, the fields would be full of...

Rich when I drive through your area it amazes me the amount of water foul I see. He trapped a farm on the back side of Perry lake . I could have shot ducks and geese every day I was with him.

Hey Guys and Gals! I just learned that a distant neighbor (older couple) has over 100acres fairly close to where I live. They're on the end of a private road (long driveway), so I feel kind of uncomfortable about driving down to knock on the...

I quit using blue dot when in cold weather when 1 5/8 loads of steel shot would not cycle my Mag 10 while goose hunting. This was during the change over from lead to steel. State areas required steel, none was avatable in 10. To be honest the 12 ga...

I have shotguns with chrome lined barrels. If you buy a current made quility double you dont have a choice. My experience you will not get as much build up of fouling in a days shooting

If it were me I would get a CO2 discharger if you are hunting with a tradational rifle and blow it out each night, The cost is small compared to a missed shot. Inline I still would empty it but have no idea other than shooting it. No matter what...

We took a 3/8 hole saw and cut into the crimp on a 2 9/16 16 ga. The gun, an A-5 Bowning would not eject a 2 3/4 shell. Firing takes the end off the case. the gun works fine. I have also known people who shaved off part of the plastic around the top...

Considering that the origional loads, round ball and a cylinder full of powder was considered enough to disable a horse under a charging calveryman, a good shot and steady hand at reasonable range deer would not be a problem.

I have two pieces of timber ground, why do tresspassers pick a nice white oak to put their deer stand on then nail it to the tree to keep it from being "stolen". The tree is now worthless except for firewood. A bullet through one leg of a tree stand...

I dug a primer out of my belly once, it was barly buried under the skin. This was working EMS and removing an injured person from a burning pickup. I had a standard uniform shirt on.
