I don't know if you can do better than Montana Bullet Co., they're good people and their bullets are hand-cast. But, you already know that......I've purchased a lot of bullets from Penn Bullets before I started casting my own, not sure if he's got...

Tatume, I too am contemplating a move to Arizona when my wife retires, 3 years to go! We vacationed there a couple of years ago and loved it! We were staying in Cottonwood, a few miles south of the "Red Rock" area around Sedona. It's beautiful...

boatbum101, I too prefer to have an exit wound for game such as deer or hogs. I want them to bleed out as quickly as possible while leaving a good blood trail. I would choose the 200 grain bullet for the Max to help insure an exit hole. The 16-1...

I agree, the alloy has no antimony in it, it is too soft for this purpose. Check out Rotometals advertisement at the top of the page, you'll find what you need there!

I agree that .630" should be OK, the equator of the ball doesn't offer much resistance even at .015" oversize. The load for my 12 ga. measures .742" O.D. and shows no pressure indications. That is a "sabot" type load using a paper wrapped .662" RB...

msm, Using the "inside" jaws of my calipers my 20Ga. M-500 rifled barrel measures .617". My 12 ga. M-500 rifled barrel measures .727". I hope this helps you out. I was surprised that th 20 ga. was so small, I was expecting something like...

njc, your 10" twist will probably be the limiting factor here. It may not be possible to break the 2000 fps mark with that twist unless everything in your load is balanced perfectly. I'm not saying it can't be done but I believe you'll find it...

centershot replied to a thread WLL Deluxe Xlox in Boolit Lube !
As MSM stated above, if you have lube build-up accumulating in your seating die, you're using too much lube! A very light varnish-like wash is all you need, it should be almost invisible on your bullet. Also, if you tumble your bullets in powdered...
