That part I understand. Only curious of how much I can resize without deforming.

I've got some case slick. Don't know what it's made of. I usually use Hornady paste lube or one shot for bottleneck. I don't care for the case slick. It gums up my sizing die. The bullets are coming out of the mold that large. I was informed at Noe...

I haven't bought a .454 resizer yet and not going too until I can scrape up enough for a lube sizer. I already had the .452 sizer. It wasn't until I started sizing on the Lee classic cast that I could feel how much pressure it was taking to do it....

I had posted earlier that my Henry seemed to like .454 bullets verses the .452. I reslugged this morning and high side is pretty much dead on at .451.5. I ordered a Noe mold that was sized .454 since this was measurement of my Laser cast bullets. Al...

They told me to keep the old one for parts. They sent new one today. I also got the Noe mold today. Looks like a Cadillac next to a Pinto. I did luck out with this Lee with no burrs. Cavities looked good. Noe looks a lot better. Will try it this...

I'm hoping NOE sends prep specs for the new mold. I know guy at Noe told me whatever I did was to never smoke the mold. Clean with dawn and heat treat 3 times if I remember right. I think I read that they cast at 600 degrees but I have to keep alloy...

I had bought my first 2 cavity Lee mold from Amazon 3-4 weeks ago. Had burrs in back cavity. I've honed and sanded on them until almost gone but they are still there. Mold pin came out and took a real aggravating time getting it back in. Am waiting...

Trying to see expansion on these but 2 soaked Atlanta phone books and about 1/2 piece of wood is still letting them go all the way through.

Well it's been about 3 weeks or so in now. Got the Lee 4-20 and bottom pour some and ladle some. Don't like my mold so ordered a NOE mold. Got to get a lube sizer yet. Don't care for the messy Alox lube. Cast these with 2 different Lee molds last...

I checked my slug again when I got home. Calipers only. It slugs out on high side .452. I again checked several of the laser cast and they are .454. I just ordered a NOE die .454 260 grain flat base. I can always size to .452 if an issue. The guy at...

All my bullets including factory will not slip into a fired case without neck expansion first. If I am understanding what you are saying.

They will fit in husbands vaquero so we're good. I need a new mold and a new gun to cast for. Lol. I bought a few just to have something different to reload for. Going broke quick.

I assumed when I bought my die that .452 was fine. Even ordered a .452 sizing die. Was checking diameter of the lazer cast bullets my gun likes verses the Rimrock that are ok but not as good. The Lasercast measure .454 and the Rimrock .452 which is...

I used fairly big ladle and got about 3/4 of it. Poured 2 more molds out by hand. I was kind of afraid it would stick all over sides and be cruddy in the bottom but only about a small soup spoon which came right out. I loaded a few bricks of what I...

I've got about a half pot full of one alloy. I am wanting to use a different one with a different caliber. Is it safe to drain the pot completely empty or ladle all out but a 1/4 inch or so in the bottom. I have been lucky so far with 400 casts or...

My husband and I shoot a lot of long range out past 500 yards and up to 1400. We started with the .03 grain increment. Bottle neck and more powder. Quit that due to price of good bullets. We usually start a few grains among minimum and load ten each...

I have been using the 2 cavity mold and instead of buying a new one thought I would look on here first. Lyman 4 cavity would be nice too if price was affordable to me. Pay Pal and pictures Please.

I shot my 6.5 Creedmoor a lot and a 260 at the bench. I've got to keep these loaded up for weekends. Also take my &mm Mag and 7-08 out and still doing ladder tests with bigger bullets in the mag and smaller in the 7-08. Always take the levers just...

Yes I know, I said I would probably only shoot 150 45 colt bullets a month and have made around a 4 month supply or better this weekend. I'm going to have to buy another gun to cast for. Thought about my 9mm Glock but I bought a 100 round stash of...
