Great thread, it appears a lot of these stories have been kept under wraps for awhile. Confession is good for the soul, it is said, and the confessional is still open! :). I haven’t belly laughed like this in a long time! Thanks! Luvtn

Spam is 90% fat, that alone can give you gastric upset. Heart attack in a can it is. It is a high test food, use it only if doing activities that require those kind of calories. Luvtn

I found this video on the news: Shows a dog chasing a blackie out of the yard. Note what attracted the bear. Luvtn

In Middle Tn they are called the “Hairy Man”!(HM) I used to work nights so when off, I hiked at night, and was told by the mentally challenged man across the street to watch out for the HM. I laughed and told him they didn’t exist. Several nights...

I think scent is over rated. Our forefathers smelled ( baths as we know them didn’t exist), they cooked on wood in the cabins fireplace. That is why you hunt into the wind. I agree, just get out and sit, observe, make notes. QUIT SMOKING! It...

Moose are more dangerous than bear. Moose are as unpredictable as bear. As you noted momma’s are protective. Those moose may have been forced into your area due to the fire destroying their usual habitat. Glad you had the interaction, they are...

I appreciate this no nonsense “bear thread”. I live in Middle Tn, and have bear. Every two to three years a bear, termed as a “honey bear” by the old timers, comes through digging up the yellow jacket nests. I have never seen them, only where...

Yep, I have a Baofeng too. 2 meter/440 MHz. I have been a ham since early ‘70’s, but when out hunting with non hams we use FRS. We hunt on Wildlife Management Areas (WMA), and are rarely more than a mile away. The FRS are small, light, and serve...

If you are new and don’t have equipment yet let me suggest a lee 20ib furnace. I have a 10 lb. then I bought lead that came in 14 lb ingots. Good luck! Luvtn

Why do you use that lube? I find boolits in the berms at various ranges, that after fired could be reloaded as is! No change noted in the lube deposit. That is why I tumble lube. I think powder coating is the way to go now. luvtn

Good you found the cause. I was curious why you use such a short OAL for your magnum loads? For my 77/44 I can get away with 1.650, but can do 1.7 for my revolvers. luvtn

I am not interested in the HP aspect, but I do have a Charter Bulldog with the 2.5 inch barrel. Generally, I shoot 240 gr LSWC with 14.5 grs 2400 for my best accuracy. How accurate are your 200gr boolits with the 16 hrs of 2400? luvtn
