Over my lifetime, I've heard a few people say, "Do what you love and you will never work a day in your life." I don't buy it! It appears my experience has been similar to others that have posted here in this thread. >>>I loved a hobby and I...

I was going to suggest W231 it's my most used powder in 45 ACP. Yes there are others but I had such good luck with 231 that I never needed to look any farther. Start not at the upper end but near the upper end of published data with 231. FWIW,...

The amount of boolit sitting proud of the case mouth is interfering with the rifling, your barrel needs to look like the barrel on the right in the photo I posted in order for this boolit to plunk and feed. Almost NO manufacturer makes a barrel...

Your barrel probably has rifling running right down to the headspace ledge, no freebore to speak of, the proper thing to do is have the barrel throated then you can seat a .358" as long as you want to, provided it will still fit in the magazine. ...

Measuring the OD of a cylinder with calipers is totally irrelevant as a comparison in determining strength from one cylinder to another. The weak point is under the bolt cuppet which tends to be VERY thin in both models, and also the web thickness...

you need to slug the Rifle, size will vary from manufacturer. My Interarms 375 H&H was right at .375 so I sized boolits to .376 There are custom sizer die makers that can make a .376 push thru die...Lee will make customs also.

That's a large frame Vaquero too, two digit prefix. The one to get is the medium framed one, three digit prefix. I missed a NIB one on GB once, I was looking right at it, reading the label on the end of the box trying to figure out if it was...

Medium framed 45 caliber Rugers are safe to 45 ACP+P pressures of 23kpsi, which we commonly call "tier 2" levels, the Uberti is pretty much a Colt clone, with better more modern steel which makes it able to handle more than the 14kpsi of standard...

A 5 gal. bucket might work, but I have another idea, but similar technique. I wonder about a large pan...like a panning for gold pan, but maybe 30" or so in diameter...but no water. The theory being somewhat like Winger Ed. suggests. I would...

Regardless of choice of boolit, the majority here will size 45 caliber boolits to .452" this is almost universal with Ruger revolvers as their groove diameter has been right at .451" for decades. When you get your revolver, see if boolits sized...
