LB7, That's a big one ! in the 1980s, I worked in a hardware store and that store sold them. I may still have one of those as well. BUT, I always prefered the LB5, I still have a couple of those.

GF, pm replied to with most questions answered. A little more info: The prices on the lead page are up-to-date. I'm like you, I don't like surprises, and it wouldn't be fair to expect guys to read all the pages on this thread just for that info. ...

Demand and pay for insurance. I received one that was poorly packed. The muzzle was sticking outside the box and banged on "whatever" (UPS truck wall or maybe concrete).

I had bulging issues with R+P brass during seating (I would crimp in another step, so my problem wasn't the crimp). 44-40 brass is thin and prone to bulging...some brands are thinner than others...R+P seems to be the thinnest, IMHO. Be sure to...

Had your primer detonated, without the flash hole drilled out pretty big specifically for a test like this, it could have exited the primer pocket in any random upward direction at a high velocity. Enough to shatter a pair of glasses, enough to...

I did a test https://www.artfulbullet.com/index.php?threads/zinc-in-small-percentage-in-bullet-alloy.589/ read from OP down to post #15 for results. Bottom line is, 1% zinc will only add about 1 Bhn of hardness, and that 1% is still pretty...

agentwolf, Welcome to the forum. When smelting WW, you want a flux that will quickly become carbon. Media may take a while to burn up, into carbon. Another issue could be introducing more Junk, whatever is in "old dirty tumbling media", into...

Dave, Welcome to the forum. I have a early version (360-160-SWC) of the NOE mold linked to below (360-165-SWC-T5) It is very close to the Lee you mention, but the NOE has two crimp grooves, which is very handy if you have a S&W 357 mag revolver...

EDC: I have a short tale of woe. When I was younger, I would carry a inexpensive pocket knife. Sometime in the early 90s, I spent too much money (for my income at that time) on a Gerber Applegate-Fairbairn Covert folder, it was one of the early...
