Thanks thats a great chart ! The older post suggested some recent wildcats like a 465/500 NE but also for a paper patched paper cartridge . I think I'll knock it down to .460 for the 45-70 but I have a friend with an 11mm Chessipot too .

Bought this "pig in a poke" , who doesn't need 8-9 moulds per cal cartridge . I figured if I get the throat shot out in the 45-70 Remlin this will fill it up . I searched and came up with a single post from 5 yr ago that had some...

I shot one that was pretty used up with a 200 gr spire point paper patched (a silly extreme but being as it was more like a 7.9239) with I4350 for about 1800 fps and clean burn . Ejection was the same as steel Wolf 123s , all over . You could drop...

On the mags . I had a 6.8 and a 556 . Getting them mixed up isn't a big deal . The 6.8 in 556 won't battery and the 556 in 6.8 just reforms the brass . So the 6.8 got ASC and AR Stoner black SS mags and the 556 got plastic ...... don't know why I...

For me the difference between production moulds , semi custom and custom is simple . If I need a place to start then I turn to Lee , Lyman or RCBS for a standard . If it's a bulk non-precision type bullet such as classic pistol bullets the...

This is fun. "If you swap the grips , build it up with modern parts , convert it to CF , add the quick change pin/wedge and a half a dozen cylinders , modify the design to fix/cover up the flawes , and finally get the sights dialed in their just...

I'm holding out for a long range 6.8 bullet . Maybe a titch flatter shooting than the NOE 278-124 . It sure would have been nice if it had been a 150 ...... Its a great classic mould in any case .

I had good luck with the 454424 and the NOE version @ 250 gr but my ACP is a revolver . The 454423 might be a good replacement . The RCBS 45-200 SWC shot well in both . I also shot a few H&G #130 that were acceptable . I have the 452-200 RNFP...

Saved another classic from an ingrate . This is 1 that doesn't show up in the catalog featured on the Cast pics pages . So it took a little while to figure it out . The seller thought it was a 6mm or 257 ....... And for the asking price I couldn't...

    Got a couple . RBH , 2nd Model Dragoon , brass 58 Army and a steel 58 Navy(ish). I've had about 3 60s . I just can't find the love when it's time to shoot them . I have an old ASM that needs a couple of screws and a trigger .

I got an SKS down to 35 . It would chamber a 325-175 sized .323 for a slip fit in a fired case and the barrel was .305316 . It was 3 moa of gallon anti freeze jugs at 25 yd with factory loads .

Love the Colt lines . They fit and point well ....... But an Escalade/Navagator just ain't truck . After dozens of cap jams and wedges that either worked loose or had to be hammered out despite proper fitting in unmodified box stock pistols , I...
