Thanks , I've read both ways on the brass and of oversized chambers . I have 3-4 appropriate die sets if I have to alter it to be useful , though I probably won't . I could sacrifice an already abused die to swage cases .

Good point . I didn't think about the barrel especially , I do have sizers and paper to paper patch a window of .263-.268 . Slugging and over necking a case to CoW fire form are a gimme .

I think someplace in the heaps there's a near full box of Norma . Privi loads a lot of "out of print" ammo it's possible . I have 2-300 270 on hand and nothing to put them in I thought I had a 280AI for a while but it turned out to be a wild cat...

I agree with tool marks . I would shoot it for real and see how bad it is . If it's minute of pop can at 50 yd it's probably good enough for the kids to lay waste to armies of cans . I think I would defer from fire lapping as with a rim fire...

I didn't have a 30" compass . The bit about range was more a jab at all of those that can't imagine why anyone would shoot a deer 300 yd away that have never hunted above the tree line . Like I said you have to reimagine how you hunt with...

Steel . I shot a ton of ducks and a few geese with 112 1s or 105 Bs in a 1-1/16 oz load over 4756 and a CSD 118 in a 2-3/4 case via my BPS Field Special Steel . The Bs landed 98-101 inside 27" at 40 yd that leaves 4-7 pellets outside of that the...

I still can't shoot much of a DA group . I've shot enough the know that the 45 Colts RBH still throws one chamber and it's not always me . I used to think I wasn't much of a pistol shooter , I still don't , but I'm better than a few that really...

Not in a bolt gun but I've had good success with H322 and H4198 with an NOE 279-124 . The 1-10 twist let me get 2200 in a 20" rifle gas and 2075 in a 16" carbine gas . The bolt gun is a 76.8 and with a paper patched 27-130 FN it ran 2200 at 141 gr...

FWIW ..... The cases I did I did on a drill press with a triangle file and a 6.8 or 40 S&W shell holder in the vise on the table not lathe machinist grade by any means but more than enough to get cases in and out of the chamber .
