Don they shot at a very large target at the mile shoot. He is shooting at a 2' square. I think even my .50-2.5 would have my ammo box empty and would not hit it if I could even see the little dot at a mile. :D

I won't comment on the bullet your wanting to use. But I'm curious what you're going to use for sights for that 24" target at a mile to see that little white spot?

You guys did a fine job sorting out the winds. I had a tough time and I came to the realization that it's time to take the tang sight off the long range rifle and put a scope on it as much as I hate to go this route. I been fighting it for...

Not all is. The American Creedmoor cup was no spotter or coach, you were on your own. The spotter is part of the team and with the best spotter the shooter can get the lowest score if the shooter can't get his head in gear and if the loads he is...

Where in Illinois do you shoot? Get some help from a shooter that shoots a black powder cartridge rifle that is using black powder at your range. Kurt

Nothing wrong with unsalted lard or crisco you get at Walmart if you render it out more to make it a hard tallow. A good properly rendered tallow you can seat it right on the powder without contaminating it and it makes a very good lube that keeps...

When you make 1/2 or 3/4 jackets all your doing is seating a core in the jacket and forming the ogive. The 3/4 jacket all you do is turn a small portion of the jacket in and not much pressure goes upon the press, but you might have a problem...
