Unnecessary, but accepted. But remember, there's something to be said about no re-inventing the wheel.

My practice is to lube with my fingertips using SPG, then run the bullets through the sizer die (T/C Bore Butter also works well). The bullets I recommended only size down about 0.001" so not much material is displaced. I usually only do 10 - 20...

My bullets are sized 0.450" for practice and 0.451" for hunting. They shoot to the same point of impact with the same accuracy. I use the larger bullet for hunting to reduce the chance of it moving off the charge during a day in the field.

One of my rifles was made with a Green Mountain 45-70 barrel blank. I shoot the Lyman 451114 bullet in it, as well as in my Parker-Hale Volunteer rifle. It is very accurate in both. Here's a picture and description: ...

From your description, WOW! Nice shooter with a nice sight. You should enjoy it. Here's some information on the cartridge: https://www.trackofthewolf.com/Categories/PartDetail.aspx/1171/1/CASE-43-SPANISH

I see you didn't get any responses to this inquiry. That's too bad, as it could lead to some interesting discussion. While I wouldn't try to build a 44 Rem Mag semi-auto, the 44 Auto Mag on the 308 AR platform should be relatively...

My alloy calculator says 50/50 lead/COWW should have a hardness of 10 BHN. I've checked the alloy calculator many times, and it is always very close to my measured hardness. It is so consistent that I don't bother checking anymore unless the alloy...

An alloy of 49% lead, 49% clip-on wheel weights and 2% tin should have a hardness of 11 BHN.

I found the gunsmith at Bullberry to be quite knowledgeable and willing to talk. I suggest you call and have a conversation. He has done things for me that were out of the ordinary, and I'm confident he will satisfy your needs. I wish I could...

Hi Doug, They appear hard, but they work. Generally I clean gunk out of my 1911, but usually only inspect the barrel. After recently firing 2000 rounds I cleaned the barrel too, and found only one tiny speck of lead. Accuracy was excellent the...

Ditto. And I never had any shipment issues either. Penn is a one-man operation. Call him, tell him what you want, and he will tell you when he is going to deliver.

I buy 2300 Penn H&G #68 bullets at a time. That's how many will fit in one USPS Flat Rate box. My work does not permit me enough time to cast in volume. Penn bullets are very high quality and shoot well.

I size and lube them and then swage the bases flat. The lube preserves the lube groove during swaging. Then I put a cannelure on the finished bullets (the Lee crimp groove is so shallow anyway).

India halted the export of Sambar stag not because the stag are endangered, but because Bengal tigers are endangered, and they depend on the stag for food. However, there have been some limited releases of stag antler, enough to keep the trade...

http://www.hodgdonreloading.com/ Hodgdon jacketed bullet data for H4895 and the 200 grain Sierra RN will work just fine with the RCBS 35-200-FN cast bullet. You'll probably get a bit more speed than with the jacketed bullet.

P.s., People here often "beagle" molds to get a little more diameter. These result in out-of-round bullets too, but they shoot just fine.

I doubt there will be much effect. I doubt even more if what effect there is will be detectable. I've had many molds that dropped bullets a little bit wider across the seam than perpendicular to the seam. Whether it was my fault or the mold, I...

First, if you size your bullets they will become round. Second, if you shoot your bullets, they will become round when they enter the barrel. I suggest shooting them. You may be pleased.
