After having the local Law to investigate ( 3 times), who was ringing my doorbell at 2-4 AM and disappearing, we discovered the bell button had become temperature sensitive and rang every time the temp dropped below 16*. The temp here rarely drops...

If they're not a bank, what are they doing selling you checks? Their rates are high, their service is lousy, their reputation for service has tanked. I never heard of taking the MO to a bank. If ya have an account at the bank, why not use a...

mold maker replied to a thread USPS Money orders in Our Town
USPS MOs are a PITA on both ends. I only use them if no other payment is accepted. PP may be anti-gun, but at least on the buying end it's hassel free. For us that have to make a special trip to the PO it can be a real problem and if it is a...

My Granny made the absolute best black walnut cake I ever had. She only made it on special occassions and I never missed one. At least for me, accumulating enough to use cracking with a hammer, is a lost cause.

Consider trying to match the screws first before making them. I know it is probably a long shot for screws that old, but on the other hand, I imagine back then, there wasnt 100s of different makers of screws like there is today. You might...

I ended up recutting the chamber of one of my 300BLK uppers (I have 2) into a 30 Apache (7.62x45) which is the 223Rem case opened up to 30 caliber. It limits the bullets to 150gr or smaller (I prefer to load it with 110 and 125gr spirepoints but I...

I own a PA10 and I had to go back and recheck my sizing die setup on my reloads as I was having problems almost the same as you. The bullets would feed in my 308 Bolt rifles but not in the AR. I went back and determined that the PA10's barrel...

Any extra hardness gained by quenching the ingots will be lost when they are re-melted for casting. As long as you remember or note the alloy nothing is changed. Quenching could cause water inclusion in the shrinking ingots that might cause...

Thanks for the info, but I ordered several stems as replacements many years ago. At the (then) price I couldn't justify repairs. I did find that grinding a taper to the stem allowed easier use in small necks like 223.
