My sweet spot is the same load with 190 gr (193 gr as cast) in my patrol carbine but it has a 1/10 twist. The MV is about 1650 and groups are about 1.5 MOA when I am having a good day.

A few years back I also had an antler less muzzleloader elk tag and since I was hunting alone planned on shooting a nice, tender calf of around 250# on the hoof. God laughed and presented me with a full grown cow standing and looking from 50...

I have two of those very old Herter's calls, a long, medium, and short range, that I bought new over 40 years ago. They have been pure magic for me compared to most of the modern calls, electronic or mouth. The medium call not only brings in...

That load will certainly do the job. Sounds like you will have fun with it.

Awesome dream, Pat. From time-to-time I see my Dad in a dream where I am rowing the boat and my Dad is sitting in the back with his cane pole catching bass in one of my favorite SoCal lakes about 55 years ago. I didn't mind rowing at all.

We just finished corn on the cob, fresh mashed potatoes, and two huge sirloin tip blacktail deer steaks done perfectly on our indoor grill (it is sprinkling rain so no BBQ). The wine was a nice cabernet. The dessert was diced watermelon. The...

I have had success with a number of powders for the 310 Lee in my 444. 4198, RE-7, and 5744 have all shot well. That boolit has been my elk hunting boolit at a muzzle velocity of about 1800 fps (all shots are close range around here in the...

I completely agree with the above but it would seem to me that with "scratches and gouges everywhere", you would probably be better served just replacing it all then finishing the new to the color or shade that is just right. A small compressor...

You might check out the Mihec 311 410 mold that is for a 130 gr GC boolit that is adjustable for a flat point, shallow HP, and deep HP. It is apparently a favorite among blackout shooters and shoots very well in my 308 and 30/30. I have seen that...

Don't leave out the Martin Hotel for our outstanding final banquet. Basque food at its finest! Just to be different this year, I ordered the seafood pasta rather than the traditional lamb or pork. The Martin may be 400 miles from the coast but...

Until recently, I have never seen the need for hollow points but I recently acquired a Mihec 30 cal mold for 130 gr boolits (311410). It is adjustable for flat point, shallow hollow point, and deep HP. My alloy is 70% pure and 30% hard birdshot...
