It sure appears that this stuff is very different than modern commercial 2200. I finally got a chance to get out to the range for some more testing. I loaded some .223 55fmj and some .308 147fmj, chronographed them, and even had a series of...

Yes, it does. Very interesting, thanks for the info. This old rifle would probably be worth something if it was in better condition. When I got it I would classify it as "rusty relic". Now it's a step above that, a beat up old shooter. :)

I was leery of powder coating for a long time. I had several lube sizers, lots of size dies and top punches, good lubes. I'm not young anymore, I'm pretty traditional, and I thought I had this boolit thing figured out fairly well. If it isn't...

I have an old 6.5 Japanese that I've had for decades. It has the same problem. I found if I did the tape trick on the first firing the bulge was more concentric and en empty would rechamber, but the bulge was still so bad there was no real way to...

Me too, that exact same kind of work, except it was Oregon 20 years ago and it was more than a hundred for a long day of hard work. I worked for a friend and he charged a lot more than he paid me. Looking back I really enjoyed that time of my life....

Sorry, don’t mean to offend. I’ve just never had a theological discussion with a, uh, whatever religion you are. Not sure, and again no offense intended, but it’s not any form of Christianity I’ve ever heard of. Believe what you want but I can see...

Unless of course your point is just to stir things up. The molestation comment pegged my BS meter a bit, makes me suspect some trolling or something. I can’t imagine that anyone would seriously suggest that an innocent child that’s been victimized...

The vast majority of knowledgeable Christians and Biblical scholars would consider your views wild to the point of absurd. That’s a fact. If that’s where you are at, I can respect that. Personally I’m not there, and never will be because I’m not...

I have to say I think Ickisrulz is spot on in post #4. No offense intended, but I think you're mixing a couple religions together, and from a Biblical perspective your ideas are pretty wild. I've never heard of any legitimate theologian who would...

I've got an old one that cost me next to nothing. A friend's FIL was settling an estate and offered it to me for $25 because nobody in the family wanted it and that's all a LGS offered for it. It's not in the best of shape but it shoots OK. The...

Here's a question for the experts: say a guy makes a bunch of bullets for himself and for whatever reason never uses them and decides to sell them. It's a one-time thing that he's not doing for profit or livelihood. Is this illegal? Personally I...

I can barely justify taking the time to make bullets for myself. At times I'm money ahead to just buy ammo. Anytime OT is available at work I can make more in an hour working than I could save in several hours of making bullets. Casting is not...

If anyone has to take very expensive medication, be sure to check and see if the drug company has a "co-pay assist" program available. My 12yo son has been on a $4,000 per month medication for 8 years, and co-pay assist is the only way we can afford...

That is the risk, isn't it? I'm just kicking myself for not getting into at least some stocks, other than a meager 401k, long ago. Right now I'm in the process of selling off all my old surplus ammo, just to make a down payment on braces for two...
