We had a somewhat similar situation one time years ago, but from the other side. We stayed with some distant relatives out of town a couple times a year. We wanted to be careful that we weren’t taking advantage of their hospitality, but were assured...

I love dogs too, and it's heartbreaking to see one abused, but I sincerely hope nobody here ever ends up standing before a jury trying to explain why they murdered someone who was abusing a a dog, because I think we all know it wouldn't end well. ...

This sounds like the best idea to me. Some people mooch because they’re lazy and thoughtless, others because they don’t realize what they’re doing. Some people will really step up once you nicely let them know you could use some help, while others...

You all heard the one about the bear and the rabbit? The bear’s doing his business in the woods, as bears will do, and a rabbit hops by. The bear asks the rabbit if he’s ever bothered with the dung sticking in his fur. The rabbit replies that he...

I grew up on a farm, out of town, and was always amazed at how “town folk” thought about “the country”. They seemed to think it was a good place to stop stuff off. Got an old couch or lawnmower that doesn’t run? Find a dirt road in the country...

I think Oregon Trail’s “Silver Bullet” claim is a bit misleading. It’s simply marketing based on the fact that the lead they use contains a trace amount of silver. They’re basically just regular commercially cast lead bullets. Nothing special....

Not true. We've moved before. My older kids still talk about how they wish we'd never had to move. We're tired of moving and we hate it (all of us, myself especially). We are already far from "home". We have the choice of continuing to making this...

It seems that there’s a wide difference in bore throats in 380 pistols. My first 380 is a little Taurus. I already had the Lee 105 swc mold, but there was absolutely no way that bullet was going to work in that Taurus. I’d have to seat it so deep...

No, nobody's offended me, at least I don't think so. I appreciate you all's thoughts. I'm not looking for any kind of consensus; we've made our decision. I was talking to my sister on the phone a little while ago, and she said that she has a...

Thanks again, everyone. Whether we’ve agreed or not, I appreciate all the input. We had already made our decision but I have a tendency to second guess myself and stress about whether I made the right decision. This has helped. Time will tell.
