I take it you didn't even look at the OP's posts? Post # 103: From post #134: It sure sounds to me like the ammo manufacturer is willing to step up and make things right. Good for them!

I've heard so many stories over the years about problems with Taurus guns that I am leery of them. I also understand that there's no way they could stay in business if everything they sold was junk. So, you take your chances, and it appears that in...

Thatís the first Iíve heard about a Uberti not being safe for in-spec modern ammunition. Also, as I recall a couple pages back the OP said that the ammunition manufacturer has already expressed a willingness to take responsibility.

I passed up a used Taurus revolver at a show a couple months ago and kicked myself. I forget what model, an older .357 mag, 6” ribbed barrel. They wanted $250, but I had gone with the thought in mind that I was not going to buy a gun no matter what....

It's not really fair to compare it to a Single Six. It's a good revolver for the money, but it's not a Single Six. I ended up buying two of them. The second one I bought at Bi-Mart for $175. I see they raised the price to $199 now. I honestly...

I'm not too concerned about that. I'm positively anal about verifying correct powder charge in each and every case. A squib load in a .357 when I was a new reloader 30 years ago taught me that lesson. This is what concerns me. I take it that...

Very interesting thread. Worrisome as well, seeing as how the OP did nothing wrong. Shooting fresh factory ammo in a sound revolver, does the fault lie with the ammunition manufacturer? I have a very similar Cimarron revolver that I shoot...

The range where I shoot has numerous bays and good berms full of lead. As a member I get a key to the gate and am responsible for myself; there are no ROs. If I go on a weekday it's easy to have a bay to myself, but berm mining is not allowed. I can...

Danger! Dihydrogen oxide is statistically the most dangerous chemical on the planet! More people have been killed throughout the whole of human history by it (and in it) than any other chemical, and it's a proven fact that everyone who comes into...

I bumped it up a little, and the bullets actually left the barrel, but it doesn't shoot anywhere near point of aim. The primers also tend to back out a little and flatten, jamming it up. The little gun is 128 years old, so I'm hesitant to increase...

I thought I'd err on the light side working up a light load for this old gun, tried 1.3gr 231 with a Lee 93gr bullet. The first round stuck halfway down the barrel.

It’s sat empty that long? My aunt and uncle have done the same thing with their house, only for about 10 years. They want to fix it up before selling because it needs a lot of work. They even had a contractor try to make a deal with them to live...

Thanks guys. I’ll set them aside. It did seem a shame to toss all that nice matching brass in with all the old mixed stuff.

I picked up a bunch of .38 Special brass, including a number of boxes of Winchester Western Super Match brass. Is this brass anything special that I should set aside for wadcutters, or should I just mix it in with my regular brass?

I found another one today. I bought it because it was cheap and looked like an interesting old gun. It's an H&R .32 Long top-break revolver, made in 1891. It's in excellent condition. I think I'll load up some black powder rounds for it, since...

I remember the first time I'd ever heard of the Ruger pistol. I was probably in my early teens and fascinated with guns. My dad never liked guns (had a couple, really only farm tools), but my grandfather and uncle were occasional hunters. I absorbed...

Yes, it has the shorter barrel. It's funny, a lot of times we tend to think things were cheaper "back in the day". My first Ruger Standard I bought at a garage sale in the late '80s. It cost me $125 as I recall, and had some minor pitting on one...

Went to a gun show this morning, with absolutely no intention of buying anything other than maybe a few odds and ends, maybe some brass. There was this little Ruger Standard .22lr automatic, serial number dates to '74, immaculate condition except...

Any of you all out there that might be putting off seeing a doctor about possible health trouble, don't put it off too long. He waited far longer that he should have, back in the hospital with complications. It's not good.

Well, I spent $8 and bought a scope base, put a little Tasco 1.75-5x scope on it. I'm a little disappointed, not with the groups today, but with my shooting before I put the scope on it. I thought I was a better shot with iron sights that this....
