Actually I take that back. Most of it will come in right handy for paying medical bills. Whatever is left over we’ll save.

With four kids and one income, we got a chunk of change. It went straight into savings. We’re not spending a penny until we see some stability in the economy, and I still have a job in six months.

Our cat was a feral rescue cat. They said she was around two when we got her. For weeks she was skittish, we'd often find her hiding in odd places. One day we heard a faint "Mew" and spent quite a while searching for her, until we found her in a...

Oh he’s getting fixed. He’s not my dog, he belongs to my daughter. She’s training him, and doing a decent job, I think. To be honest, I’m not a dog person. Don’t dislike them, but don’t particularly like them either. A well trained dog can be a...

Too bad for him.☹️ If he gets too much more rambunctious I’ll remove them myself with a sharp pocket knife, like my grandfather would, save myself $200. (Not really I won’t) Speaking of such things, here’s something my daughter found, gotta be...

My daughter got a puppy, he’s a bit of a terror. He’s always harassing the cat, who wants nothing to do with him. A chicken got out the other day and he killed it. I’m a little worried that he’s going to get to rough with the cat and hurt her. ...

I really like mine. I bought a pair of them back when they could be had for $200 for a nice specimen with two mags and a holster. By modern standards they are considered "heavy for caliber". The 9x18 Mak round is only a little more powerful than...

All sold I have a total of 236 pieces of 30-30 brass- 100 of them are virgin Winchester, and the remaining 136 are (near as I can tell) once fired R-P. I didn't fire them but I've handled a lot of brass and these all feel right for once fired....

Absolutely. I think that a lot of people fail to realize the actual reason that used .40 S&W pistols are so much cheaper right now. There's this idea that it's because "you can't even give them away", "nobody wants them", they're less desirable,...

I think a better point would be that it is just as effective for some things. I've seen all the studies that indicate that the 9mm is statistically as effective as both the .40 S&W and the .45 acp, when it comes to stopping people. They also...

I've had my old Glock 22 since the mid '90s. It's always shot great. I just don't understand all the hate for the .40 S&W in recent times. Some people get really worked up about it. I also don't get the people who repeat the myth that an...

Sometimes I do, sometimes not. I do when loading towards maximum load. I learned about that a long time ago. 25+ years ago I was reloading for my first revolver, a Dan Wesson .357 Magnum 15". I hadn't been loading very long back then, and I was...

A big thank you once again to all you guys, for all your prayers and encouragement. The doctor called today with the news from pathology that it was clean, not lymphoma. That's what we were waiting to hear, and a big relief. He's healing up nicely...

This guy is a life-long friend. He's shot a lot of my reloads over the last three decades. He's taken a lot of game with my reloads over that time. There was a time when he'd buy the bullets and powder, I'd load them up for him, and that was the...

I haven't hunted in decades, but I have a buddy who is a government trapper. As part of his job, he occasionally has to shoot bears, a number of them every season. He uses a lever action 30-30 Winchester. He says the 170gr factory ammo works very...

I finally got back to this, took it out to the range again. The issue must be my shooting technique. I've tried every which way, and only get the very rare group that doesn't string vertically, and I think those are just lucky groups. By practicing...

I finally shot a few across the chronograph. It's funny, most of them were around 1650fps, but a couple of them were going 2000fps. I was careless when reloading theses for the chronograph: I had a bunch of old large rifle primers that I'd saved...

How far away is it? Is the seller going to want to mess with shipping multiple USPS boxes? Does he sound like the type capable of packing those boxes just right, so they don't break open and spill out on the journey?

Glad you weren't hurt. I have a Ballester Molina that I bought in the mid '90s. It was stolen out of my truck 20 years ago. The cops actually found it, under the seat of a stolen car when they arrested a punk kid who'd been burglarizing houses. They...

Here's some brass that's not actually very old. I don't remember where I got it, probably a gun show for cheap, but it's been sitting on my shelf for a few years. I finally went to load a bunch of .357 Magnum recently, and noticed the 3-10-75...
