Well, I spent $8 and bought a scope base, put a little Tasco 1.75-5x scope on it. I'm a little disappointed, not with the groups today, but with my shooting before I put the scope on it. I thought I was a better shot with iron sights that this....

No worries, I knew what you meant. :) I know I've said this a lot, but thanks again to everyone! I read through this sub forum fairly regularly, and understand that we all go through tough times sometimes, some worse than others. It's a great...

Thank you everyone. Yes, it’s great news. It’s going to be a long hard recovery, but things are looking up. The long term financial repercussions are going to be tough, but they can deal with that as it comes. Their little one is doing fine. My...

Good news! He was able to take a few steps today, with support. His hands and arms are making very slow but steady improvements too. It’s going to take a long time and a lot of work, but it’s looking good for the long haul.

I feel like there's still got to be more to it than just the sights, but these sights are not my favorite.

Yes, the sights could be part of it. They really aren't very good, are they? Normally I can shoot better than that with any sights though. It does have the scope base mounting holes. I thought about picking up some bases for it and putting a...

Thank you. I've had it to the range a couple times now, and occasionally I'll get a tight group, but more often than not I get some serious vertical stringing. Any idea what might cause that? I talking about 3" - 4" groups at 50 yards, always...

I know this question is a bit off the specific topic for this thread, but anyone here use the Lee 452-255-RF? I already have a 454190 and was thinking about trying something different. I can’t really justify buying a Lyman mold, but could pick up a...

I had a really big nest underground just outside the house a few years ago. I dumped a gallon of liquid nitrogen down the hole. That wiped them out for good.

Sorry, slow to come back here. He's doing OK, in rehab. Recovery is going to be very slow going. The drs say they think he'll walk again eventually, and it looks like he'll most likely regain one arm, but the other side is not looking good, so far....

Thanks guys. That makes me feel better about it. So far I’ve just shot a few groups at 25 and 50 yards, starting a load workup with Lee C309-170-F powder coated and gas checked, and LVE powder. Nothing impressive yet for accuracy, about 2” at 50...

I just bought my first 30-30. It's funny, I've owned an awful lot of rifles over the last three decades or so, but never the one iconic American deer rifle. I've been half-heartedly watching for one for some time. I have a Marlin 1894 .44 Mag.,...

I have a set of those Lee collet dies, in 30-06. I bought them sometime in the early '90s, as I recall. They have worked well over the years. One distinct advantage for me was shown when I happened to buy a used rifle chambered in 30-06 Ackley...
