Yeah, I think that one's worse than mine, but at least it has a more normal grip. I don't know what they were thinking when they designed the grip on this one:

Isn't it funny how we come full circle sometimes? Most people start out with a .22 revolver or something, then go on to bigger and better, then eventually over the years end up coming back to something along the lines of what they started with. ...

I'm glad to see I'm far from the only one. I'm still fairly young yet, compared to most of you all, but heavy magnum loads just aren't fun any more. I like my S&W Model 29s, and don't plan on getting rid of them any time soon, but any time I take...

Every town has a summer festival or two, celebrating whatever they think makes them unique. Iím sitting here waiting for my kids to get done at the rinky-dink little carnival they have set up, feeling a little like Iíve been robbed by a bandit. ...

I have a few old boxes too, some full or partially full (not pristine). A relevant question: is there any point in keeping the original ammo with them, or just shooting it up and keeping the boxes? They're nice old boxes but nothing pristine.

Ram-Line Exactor: Anyone else have one of these? I've been tinkering with it lately, trying to get it to function well. Just when I think it's working right, and it goes through a couple 20 round magazines full without a hiccup, it will choke a...

I didn't care for them back in the day either, but in the last year or so I bought a few bricks. We got my son a brand new 10/22 for his birthday, and he's gone through two or three bricks so far. I don't think he's had a single misfire, and you can...

I'll have to add my two cents worth. A well-traveled industrial floor carpet at work started unraveling at a seam. For a temporary fix, I covered about 10 feet of the seam with Gorilla tape. That was probably 5 years ago, countless vacuuming,...

A couple years ago I took on the project to repair/restore/refinish the stock on a good friend’s favorite hunting rifle. He hunts and traps for a living (county trapper) and he’s hard on his gear so it was quite a project. I told him it was a...

I really like the older 700s too, have several. It's funny, I used to see and buy them on occasion back in the '90s for around $300 for a decent one (usually an ADL). I see them around at gun shows occasionally for very tempting prices. I don't buy...

In that case you might consider taking it for what it is: a thank you gift. Just as people like a cheerful and gracious giver, there is sometimes a place for receiving a gift in the spirit it was intended, with a gracious "Thank you". It's nice...

It’s not just gun shows, by any means. I was at a gun shop once, years ago, and came across a mis-marked rifle on the used rack. I politely asked about it and mentioned that I didn’t think it was what he thought it was. He very stern and rude, how...

I never had any experience at all with a Beretta 92/M9 until I bought a surplus 92S a year or two ago. Numrich had them for $199, and the one I got appeared unfired. I've come to really appreciate it; it's a good shooter.

That’s half of it. The one I need is a dual-run, with three terminals. I could use that one along with a cheap 6uF cap for the fan motor, if need be, but if you all are pretty sure it will be fine I think I’ll just order one of the 50/7.5uF dual run...
