Deleted. Sorry, sometimes I get caught up and ramble on, then after a while realize that I posted more than I want to, and probably came off as whiny and rambling.

All I can say about the post regarding Native American religion is that it’s a rather idealistic view of Native American culture and beliefs. Having a little of that ethnic background myself, and a respect for that culture, I can say is it’s not all...

I remember the phrase from a sermon that our previous pastor gave during a building campaign. He's a good man and I respect him as a pastor, but I kind of felt like he had some sermons from a book on how to milk the congregation for a building...

By the way, when I mentioned "holier-than-thou" folks, I wasn't referring to anyone here. This is a sincere issue that I do think about, and my wife and I have discussed many times. This has been a civil discussion. I'm not offended and I hope I...

Apparently not enough. Personally I'm inclined to think that the whole "If you tithe God will make you rich" and "If you don't you're robbing God" thing is a bit of a stretch, often pushed by well-meaning pastors with building projects. I can pretty...

Faith is a difficult subject for me. I think I have faith; I want to have faith. I know I'm lacking but to what degree? I remember reading a story of a guy in India that a friend of mine really respected. The guy was a native Christian convert...

Not to be argumentative, and I do believe that giving is important, but I've also heard that many times over the years. We faithfully tithed for over a decade, through thick and thin, even through a time of unemployment and underemployment. Due...

Wow, that's a bit scary, must have been a bad lot of brass. I had something similar; I bought some cheap 7.62 NATO for an FAL. It was Israeli surplus, headstamp TZ80. After I had one let loose with a split through the case web, I stopped shooting...

Yes, I wonder about the origin of that brass. From the photos it sure looks like virgin brass. I’ll bet the guys at cartridgecollectors.org could tell you all about it.

More stuff to clean out and get rid of. All prices are plus shipping. Most sets will ship in a SFRB Priority mail for $7, except the .300 Savage and .45 Colt, which will fit in a Regional Box A for $11. 1. RCBS .375 H&H Magnum. Looks like a nice...

Well, it seems clear that the boxes they came in have no relation to the cartridges. Boxer primed is interesting. The brass, primer and sealant have a USGI look to them, as least it seems that way to me (other than no headstamp). The light...

My understanding is that mercuric primers mostly disappeared around the turn of the century. I've never loaded anything that old, and wouldn't even try if it had those kind of issues. Even WWI era brass is so uncommonly encountered anymore that it's...

I was curious so I looked up some info on the CMP forum. From what I can deduce, it looks like the requirement for them to ship only to 01 FFLs for transfer was written into the language of the authorization for the CMP to sell them. It looks...

I'll just have to disagree with that one. I don't drive on 20 year old tires, but 20 year old ammo is still practically new. Heck, I still shoot live ammo from the 1940's. I recently shot some .45acp ammo from 1917. It shot like new ammo (No I don't...

It will be interesting to see what they come up with, as far as condition and price. My take on the extra BGC is they use their existing system to sell to those who qualify, then they want to cover themselves (since it's a handgun) by taking the...

I've got a whole big bag full of WWII 30-06 brass I use for my Garand. I anneal the necks and check them carefully for problems, but otherwise I load them just like new brass. They work fine. Old brass ages a lot better than old rubber tires.
