That's the right way to do it. Also notice the notch on the front of the cock. If you guns don't have that, get out a file or Dremel and do it. It directs fragments away from the eyes, and helps split the fired cap for easier removal.

Yep, they do that. People around here open the hoods of the vehicle when camped in the back country. The pack rats prefer enclosed spaces

I didn't find much, if any difference in the roughened balls. Both the smoothbores I have at the time shoot like rifles, so what would I do with a bit more group tightener? If I am on target, they are going to hit.

My daughters boyfriend has his grandfather's Steven's 44 Shot. He shoots .410 in it and I have had the pleasure of firing it twice. I can tell you that it is not hard to fall instantly in love with a super lightweight single shot in .410.

I don't think it was made for trade, as the gun has much nicer engraving than the Chief's grade guns.

Steel wool will not cause a problem, as long as you let the previous layer of finish dry completely before rub out.

Over the years, I've owned 4 different .45 Auto Rim revolvers (all S&W's). Two of them Brazilian imports, one of which I still own, a Model of 1988 with a 5 inch barrel, and currently a Mountain Gun version. All shot well, very well. Reasons...

I seem to recall some models of Toyota had a sludge problem. Do a search for it.

It's been 11 years ago this month I was out of town for a granddaughters dance recital, about 120 miles from home. I did a little scrounging and happened onto more than my pickup could handle. I picked up 1,400 pounds of WW's in one haul. I could...

I've started claims before, and have found out they were delivered by the post office, rather than Fedex. Since I don't go down the mountain often to check the mail, I didn't know it had been sitting in my mailbox. Just another time in my life I...

This is a video I did at the Wild Horse Rendezvous, Cyr Montana, Memorial Day weekend. This is sponsored by the Sapphire Mountain Men, and is a yearly event. This is the largest cannon event in the northwest, although the number of shooters was down...

I'd won a pair of new cast iron skillets last year. Both were rough on the inside. I took one to the shop to smooth it out, left the other one rough. I used them equally, and the rough one seasoned much better and faster than the smooth one.

You would have problems with the revolver in this area. Only one chamber at a time is permitted to be loaded at a time, due to a stupid accident by a pilgrim a few years ago. Managed to shoot himself putting the gun in a shoulder holster.

I was asked a question a year ago, and have researched it ever since. Apparently it doesn't exist, but thought I would ask here. Has anyone ever heard of "leftover bacon"?
