I really wasn't supposed to be in there looking around and while not likely, could have an LEO or game warden discover me there. It's also a pretty healthy drive out of the way for me. I have quite a bit of lead, the vast majority of which is...

You should offer the state free deleading of the berms although the required environmental impact statements and mandatory reseeding efforts would delay the approval process until some KS legislator's cousin got the contract to remove the lead...

I didn't see it mentioned, what alloy are you using to achieve these groups and velocities?

Where do you shoot in Salina? I noticed what looked like a range over on State street once while driving over there and never looked into it.

I agree on more weight, but I'd want something with a flat nose which the 311299 doesn't have. Something like the 311041 or RCBS 180 grain flat point.

I personally wouldn't bother slugging the bore, if you really feel a need, get some cerrosafe and follow the instructions, it'll give you an idea of what to look for. I've never been a fan of the idea of pounding something through a rifle bore and...

THere was a relatively recent post on this thread about a 35-223 Rem wildcat. The new 350 Legend from Winchester is a unique one off from the new 22 Nosler cartridge. it has a rebated rim to use an AR15 bolt carrier group but offers an increased...

I mounted up a scope and did some work with this rifle earlier this week. Not the most accurate .22 I have, but certainly good enough for anything I'm likely to do with it. It functioned well with several types of ammo, but was misfiring quite...

great culmination on the efforts to get it up and running! Next step is to shoot it in a match as part of a 900 pt leg of a Bullseye 2700 match.

Bama, Thanks for the tidbit on adding copper to the alloy. I'll look into that. I don't intend to push either the 120gr, 180gr or the 200gr bullets that fast but if I start seeing issues when I get above 2400fps, I'll see about finding powdered...

C4HD sells a ram that uses universal shell holders like modern presses which they say fits most of the old Pacific and RCBS presses. Seems like it costs about $40.

You did very well on that deal. I like my Krag sporter very much. The 311284 is an excellent choice and either 4198 or 4895 seem to work great with it.

There's a thread going now about "that guy" at the range. I'm pretty convinced that's what killed this one. People used to go out there and be irresponsible and unsafe. It is pretty remote, but there are farmers and such who live within a mile or...

When I was fire forming some 8x56mm cases for my Swede roller that was chambered for 8x58mmRD I would, (1) Load light load of 8 grain of Unique, (2) lightly oil back half of case so the rim and base are against breach block so the base and the back...
