The Herrington show is one of my favorites. Haven't been to the Topeka one in a while, but used to fairly often. Thanks for the tip about Herrington, I hadn't heard about it. It's pretty much the same show as the one in Abilene, most of the...

I am intrigued by this. I have a Stevens 44 1/2 I believe is chambered in .25 rimfire. The barrel has been relined, and I think whoever had it planned to do a centerfire conversion, but not sure if done or not. I'd love a source of .25 rimfire.

I have a Contender rifle chambered in it. It was too good a deal to pass up, but it is too destructive on edible game in my experience (I'd say the same thing about the .22 WMR). I think I'm gonna have the barrel rechambered to .17 Hornet...

If for any reason this deal falls through, I'd like to be second. Long shot, I know.

This is very interesting to me. We're allowed to use what we want, they even legalized .22 Centerfires a few years ago. But if I was restricted to straight walled, I'd have no problem using a .45-70 or .38-55.

My oldest son's first deer rifle is a Model 7 Remington youth model in .260. Should be the perfect white tail round and it worked well with jacketed bullets, but the rifle was never as accurate as I thought it should be. Haven't shot it in several...

I'm keen on having one in .222 and one in .244, bu a .280 would be close to that. Of all the times someone has tried to "improve" the .30-06, the .280 is the one that comes the closest to actually doing it. A 721 in .280 would be a good one to...

Just for what it's worth, the .300 Savage works well with cast bullets too. My 99 EG in .300 shot the 311041 well when I used it to deer hunt a few years ago, the short neck problems everybody talks about seem more academic than real.

Turns out there was one in downtown Wichita this weekend as well. I probably should have gone to that one.

It's not in the Bicentennial center anymore, one of the buildings on the fairgrounds there.

"Redding 228 win mag set, pliers marks on rings $20" Is this a typo? Should it read .338 Win mag?

Went today and there's quite a bit of reloading components for a show that small, including primers and I didn't see any real price gouging going on. One guy selling primers for $45 a thousand, had a lot. If you're local to it, it's a nice...

Yep. It works just fine. The .45 ACP isn't a big case, small primers work fine.

I never have gotten this one to be very reliable and got side tracked on it, it's sitting waiting for me to either get back to it or get rid of it. I may have to check that 6 o'clock part of the chamber and see. I have pretty much decided to...

We have one that does that now quite frequently. We keep a big, deep bowl for the dog and this cat will put both feet in all the way to the bottom.

I built an Ar15 16" upper in 30 Herrett Rimless...Does that count? ;) 6.8 SPC case trimmed back and reformed with a 30 Herrett sizing die.

I am going to be trying cast in the 6.5 Creedmoor eventually. I still have molds and quite a few cast bullets from a 6.5 Swede that I couldn't get rid of fast enough. The Ruger American I got has been very accurate with jacketed without even...

Mine is set up with the side mount. I put a small 4x Burris on it. Love that combination for squirrel hunting using cast bullets.

I want one. I have a 1907 and load cast in it, killed two deer with cast in it a few years ago. Seems like just about any .41 magnum cast bullet would work. I've heard brass can be formed from 7.62x39 brass.
