For more than 20 years now, I've had a stand of one type or another over watching an old stock tank on what's now public hunting land, it rarely holds water anymore after sveral years of dought we had, but back then, probably 18 years ago, it was...

I still have about 4 or 5 boxes. Different categories. Some LR and some SR. They'll all go bang. Even these will go bang and they are real old.:smile::smile: These primers are getting put in some 380 brass.

I've gone to Inceptor's 60 grain loading for my 380's for SD loads. Will get the 9mm in 65 grain to try along with the 135 grain for my 45's too. I'm going for the lighter and faster in my trials. I've shot the heavier and slower in the...

Folks, Anyone ever see an upside down German #1 reticle on a rifle scope? I picked one up on an Ebay auction a few months back (Monoscope brand 2.5x by 40mm) that was advertised as a post reticle but when it arrived, when the scope is mounted...

I had that happen to me, only the squirrel was maybe ten feet above my head and annoying me when hawk swooped in. The hawk missed, and the squirrel raced down the trunk stopping right next to me chattering and raising all kinds of sand. Startled...

It is amazing how fast it all disappeared. I've looked online and on the shelves of my local businesses and empty is mostly what I find. Glad I learned to save when I could. Component availability runs in cycles just like elections. They are the...

Didn't Remington experiment with making a rifle that used electricity to ignite the propellent in the rifle instead of a physical primer? I seem to remember reading about it, the "trigger" essentially was just a switch to close a circuit

Brother Ban....I'd gladly pay Buckshot 10 times what you just said for that rifle and I have a feeling I might have to up the bid before others tried to outbid me if they heard that rifle was available. Bruce

Being above their line of sight helps tremendously. I've shot about as many from the ground in some manner of blind or another as I have from tree stands, but I will always try to get in a tree if possible. It really doesn't take much height, 12...

I love old reloading presses and one seems to follow me home way more often than it should. I'd really like an old press like that, sounds like you have a good friend there.

The first ones are very good guns. I'm told some of the subsequent ones are real stinkers, which is why some pics or some idea of date of manufacture would be good.

Any idea when it was made? Charter Arms has undergone several management changeovers and re-organizations during some of which, their QC suffered a lot. I really like mine from late '70s, early '80s.

I have my doubts about cover up scents, but I do try to get reasonably scent free before I hunt. I have a keen nose and can smell the perfumes and such in most laundry detergents and soaps so I wash my hunting clothes in the scent free stuff and...

F.A.R.T and S/S pins (5lbs.), filled with warm water, 1/4 teaspoon of lemi shine and a good squirt of dawn. All load runtime depends on how dirty. I never let cases sit in solution when tumbling is done. BAD FOR BRASS. I find this new...
