Seems almost like the .22 K Hornet. Everybody says the main advantage is longer case life. I hope it works out for you.

I bet this is the problem. Try dropping one through the cylinder, a bullet should stick in the chamber throat. You're getting blow by somehow and commercial cast bullets are often sized too small, cast too hard and use hard lubes that are more for...

This is my favorite at the moment, we all know how wishy washy we can all be at any given moment when it comes to the "Your favorite cast Boolit", so here is mine. It is from a hard to find Ideal mold, #429 303. I powder coated it in HF red, I think...

I read somewhere somebody analyzed it from a bunch of different criteria and determined the .30-40 Krag was the ultimate rifle cartridge for cast bullets. Not gonna disagree, it's a very good one. Guess it all depends on which of those criteria...

About six months ago, I swung through a relatively new shop which deals mostly in tools, but has a few guns, usually cheap shotguns and .22s. One stood out so I asked to see it and it was a well-sporterized '93 Mauser which he said was a 7x57. ...

I found in the archives where a successful group buy was done with Lee to make a run of these back in 2010. Is it possible to have Lee make one of these now without all the start up costs since they have the tooling set up (or did)? I'd like a six...

The tangs are curved as is the lever. You'd have to do some serious work on it to convert to a straight grip. best option would be to trade it for what you want. My 99EG is in .300, most common variant and most common caliber. I love it and it's...

The Lee 8mm 175gr mold that Grmps mentions is a great starting mold for this caliber. If you can find a Lyman 323470 it is a Louverin design round-nose gas-check design that is almost perfect at 165gr for this caliber. I have used both and...

On Saturday, I loaded forty .225" sized, poly-coated and gaschecked Bator RN boolits into some reformed 22-6mm Remington brass for my newest wildcat Mauser 98 rifle. I'm going to try to get to the range this weekend to try them out at 50 and 100...

The 340 grain shoots well in my .45-70 and casts bigger than .457, seems like they came out .459. I'm using an H&R Handi. Hollow bases are a pain to cast, but it may be more forgiving diameter wise and may be worth it.
