I have to say, that was an unusually good evening for me. I do seem to do better when I'm the only one shooting, I had the range to myself. I like that little side by side, more than I really should, I suppose, but it's a cool old gun and I wanted...

I just took out that old Ithaca trap gun my Dad gave me, sure is pretty. Too pretty. No safety, makes sense for a target gun like that, I suppose. I will likely take t out and see how it shoots a few times, but I think I really do want to get...

For several years here, the toads which used to be common have been rare. I'd heard there was a world wide fungal skin disease that was killing off amphibian populations everywhere. This year, I've been seeing a lot of them and tree frogs too. ...

I'll have to get it out and take some. I posted some when I got it, it was rusted and I cleaned it up and got everything moving, but that's about it. I stoll haven't loaded any ammo on it yet. Whoever had it had fabricated a new piece where the...

Copy of the old Dunbars. I have one, found in a junk box, rusted to where it was frozen but didn't take much to clean it up and make it work. I haven't done anything else to it, so still original paint, etc. It's the only one I've seen before...

I really don't need another press. I have a Forster Co-ax I have yet to set up, but the simplicity and strength of these ones looks intriguing and it also looks simpler to adapt to from "normal" single stage presses than the Forster would be. ...

If you're getting lead fouling at .30-30 levels, you clearly don't know what your doing with cast. Read up some more, lots of subject matter experts on here. As has been said, the .308 is almost ridiculously easy to make into a ballistic twin of...

After deer season, I'll begin the endeavor of cast in the 6.5 Creedmoor. My son's .260 may get some too. After a 6.5 Swede that didn't work out and went down the road, I have quite a few various 6.5 cast bullets around to try out. Looks like...

I was looking through the BPI catalog I got in the mail a few days ago and saw that MEC is making a metallic cartridge reloading press now. Looks to be well made and well thought out. Anyone have experience with one? I like the looks of it.

I like the Lil Dandy and use it a lot, but I'd never trust that chart without double checking against a scale. I've found it off enough several times that I would check and it's easy enough to find the rotor that does what you want and then write...

Pressman. Thanks for the info. Guess I was going by the information on other side of the hopper. Most likely patent dates not mfg dates.

Same way here. Did several of these when my sons were of an age to. That's a heck of a first deer. If it had been me, I'd likely give up deer hunting and take up bass fishing or something, never gonna top that one.

Was it a clearance or something? I'm not a big fan of Remington, but even I'd have bought a 700 for $99.

In Winter, I hunt squirrels when I can, usually sitting on a ride overlooking an area where they move through. I keep a beat up old Stevens 94 16 gauge in the barn and I like it, but don't shoot it a whole lot. Anyway, I was sitting there with it...

For my weekly trap shooting endeavor to become a better wing shooter the past six months, I have been using an old Stevens 5100 in 16 gauge, not because it's a good trap gun but because it's what I wanted to hunt with. I've gotten a lot better with...

I disagree. Single shots point and carry better than anything. Every man should have several, I personally prefer the Savage/Stevens Model 94 and 220 singles, but the H&Rs are great too.
