An old refrigerator is a favorite for storing powder. I also agree to check your local fire codes for allowed amounts, although I expect lots of guys exceed this amount! Personally, I store mine on shelves in my loading room. Powder and primers are...

I use an M die to expand the necks of my 30-30 casings when loading cast, and I've done it even when loading jacketed bullets. Would there be any benefit to not using an expander button? I could get a spare and sand it smaller so it wouldn't...

Any oil in the pot will just burn out with the flux. What did you flux with? I find wax helps the melt to flow better. I use both wax and sawdust. I clean my moulds with lighter fluid. If I get contamination while casting, say from sprue...

Sounds like you're running the lead too hot. Control the mould temp through cadence and sprue size, not lead temp. I heat my moulds by resting them in the top of the pot so they are partially in the lead probably 5 minutes or more. It will cause...

Vanna can I have a "W" please... I do believe that the correct spelling is Rowland. If you are doing a search then you may want to try that spelling. I wasn't going to post but I saw it in the title and in the body. Trying to help.

I always seat and crimp in the same operation. If I was loading for precision I'd separate the operations to limit run out. Once you figure out how to tweak your dies it's not hard at all to set it up to do both. If I was going to do them in a...

That's how I do it, in the wife's oven,I use a little lower heat though at around 150. I push the bullets out of the cake when it's still warm, although I have used a cake cutter. I've never used a hot plate for pan lubing but I have melted...

Most of the molds on that list look like they would sell easy enough. I see one or two that I would be interested in if you can get them cheap enough. The problem with buying things for resale is the time that it takes. Even at a bargain price you...

I've had similar trouble with 223's a few times but I don't remember which headstamps they were. I started depriming with a universal decapping die several years ago when I started wet tumbling. It seems to have eliminated this problem.

Yeah, you're right. Turkey Hunting and bug spray go hand in hand around here. Both of the places on the stock are right where you would hold it too.

You could test under the recoil pad or in the stock inletting. I am thinking maybe some super glue followed by some scuff pad.

Thanks Guys! I'm finished and at home. Everything went smoothly and I won't have to do it again for 6 months. I'm kind of weak and wimpy right now but that was expected. Prolly lay around for the rest of the day and be lazy!

How much are those credit card knives worth? I had one some time back and I only gave 5 bucks for it if I recall right. Course I'm sure it was a different brand.
