The only thing that I will add to a pot of molten lead are sprues and freshly cast reject bullets, still too hot to touch. A little moisture goes a long way!

lightman replied to a thread A new to me 45 case in Our Town
When I first saw these laying on the ground I thought they were older cases that were weathered. I pick those up too but they go straight to the recycle bucket. These are just blue looking and are not magnetic and weigh too much to be aluminum. I...

lightman started a thread A new to me 45 case in Our Town
I picked up some brass today and included in the batch were 2 cases that at first looked old and black. On closer inspection they are new blackened brass cases. These are 45 ACP cases and appear to have the Browning Buckmark Logo on the headstamp....

If thats Little Rock Arkansas bring it with you and I'll melt it for you. I know, you're probably trying to reduce the stuff to move.

Not much today, feeling kind of wimpy. Probably resize and tumble some 357 cases that someone left on my back porch. Most of my non-reloading buddies save stuff for me, and drop it off. Either brass or various forms of lead. Plan to cast tomorrow,...

lightman replied to a thread terkey hunting in Our Town
I went last week without any luck. Several days they were not gobbling. Saw some hens one day. Heard on gobble another day but he was more interested in talking to the hoot owl than he was me. I can't go to them like I once was able to do. You're...

lightman replied to a thread Couch Potato???? in Our Town
Some days I'm one. I try to stay as active as possible but some days my MS kicks my tail and I just don't have any energy. I've learned the hard way to take it easy on those days.

I would also like to thank Him for his service. And wish him luck in whatever he chooses. Those decisions can be tough unless you are one of the lucky few that know what they want.

I saved them before I retired. Each pin has about 4 oz of lead best that I could tell. Some of the older ones were a little bigger. I never had it tested but the hardness was about like wheelweights. Biggin, another member here saves them too. Maybe...

I will add that my Email was as courteous as an Email can be as was my phone conservation. I requested a replacement part and a spare that I was willing to pay for. I guess I'm just used to Leopold, Dillon or RCBS customer service.

I've used the RCBS for years. Like the others have said, about 1/4 turn works. I doubt that any of the press mounted pullers have much advantage over any other. I've slowly acluminated collets for most calibers, quite an investment all told.

Nice Score and an interesting smelting rig! Any score that needs a pallet and a forklift has got to be a good one! I'm another that is curious about the weight. Hopefully all of those are lead. Your truck probably hates you!

You could see if the one on the right is attracted to a magnet or try cutting it. A cut with a hacksaw or file should show if its copper or steel inside.
