WRideout replied to a thread Bench issues / ideas in Cast Boolits
I had exactly the same thought; here is my setup with somewhat QD mounting for tools. I have a number of tools that I wanted the flexibility to move them, and also keep the benchtop somewhat clear for working on things. When I...

I just rolled up half a box of JHPs in the 45, using the sizing die. They plunk test just fine; next thing is to shoot them. Wayne

WRideout replied to a thread Just thoughts in Our Chapel
I used to be a reserve officer, and middle manager, and did some things I thought were important at the time. Now that I am semi-retired, I spend a lot of time with the grandchildren, especially Lilly, the six year-old, who needs a lot of help and...

Well, that explains everything. It's weird, though. I've been running my reloads through the Star PD 45, and most of the time, they work fine. I guess the Star has a generous throat. Thanks, guys. Wayne PS: If that set of dies predates my...

I acquired a used set of Pacific reloading dies for 45 ACP from a member here. Like usual, I used the die with the decapper to size the empty cases. I found that my boolits had to be considerably over size or they would slip in the case. There...

I had some lamp oil on hand, so I used that too. Different subject, when I worked in the crime lab, we used to keep acetone in plastic wash bottles. Acetone has a very high vapor pressure, so if we left the wash bottle closed up overnight, it...
