Sometimes a person just likes the unusual. I'm one of those, which is exemplified by my choice of the .41 Magnum for a duty caliber back when we were allowed actual choices based on experience, and not on whizz kid bean counters who didn't know...

Posts 9 and 10 pretty much cover the history of the .38 Super and it's early problems with headspacing on the minimal rim, etc.. When it was developed, it filled a very real need, since gangster's cars (all cars, really) were made from real steel...

It's not, unless you get into it really big. Three of us went in together and bought a Bullet Master, Lube Master, and lots of alloy. We started selling bullets and soon found out that unless you can go nationally, you're not going to make any...

Make sure the primers are seated at least .004" below flush so the anvil is correctly seated into the primer pellet. Some firearms are more forgiving of incomplete seating, but others require proper seating before they will set them off. Firing...

What you're asking about are the Lee Push Through sizing dies for cast bullets. In your case, powder coated bullets would be pushed through the die from the bottom and would be caught in the container on top of the die. You would have to first...

A case mouth expansion die can't also be a full length sizing die, as the sizing operation would iron back down any case mouth expansion imparted at the top of the stroke when the brass is extracted from the die. It's a two step operation, sizing,...

Oil every moving point, including the pivot points and the actuator rod that moves back and forth at the top of the machine. They even provided an oil hole there, but I've gotten some that were completely dry, as in never having been oiled at all. ...

I've done a lot of this to make RN bullets into SWC-HP bullets. As long as the alloy is soft enough, it works very well, and makes a mean looking bullet. Hope this helps. Fred

Some people aren't aware that new dies can be obtained, as they're under the impression that the die making stopped when the machines were discontinued. Not everyone joins a forum like this, where there are vendors who make items no longer...

Welcome to the forum! If you're talking about the base of the machine, you don't really want to remove that nut. Like skeettx says, more information on exactly which nut you're talking about would be helpful. Hope this helps. Fred PS: ...
