I use them on occasion. They work in both the Swage-O-Matic, and with C-H Swaging Dies to make half jacket bullets. Hope this helps. Fred

I use Lil'Gun for 185 gr. loads in .357 Magnum for my Marlin rifles, where it gives a little over 100 fps more than the maximum charge of H-110/Win. 296 for the same bullet weight. I haven't used it in my revolvers, but I'm going to give it a try...

ReloaderFred replied to a thread Thank You in Our Town
You are more than welcome.:drinks: A lot of us started long before there were computers (1963 for me), and we learned the old fashioned way. I didn't know anyone who reloaded, so I read everything I could find on the subject and used the old...

I have molds from Lyman, RCBS and Saeco converted for use on my Master Caster. All are double cavity, since that's what my orifice is, and I have no need for a single cavity orifice. The small block Lyman molds heat up pretty quickly, which...

Starline has 9x21 brass, which might fill your needs. You can use standard 9x19 dies to load it by just backing them out 2mm for the belling and seating dies. Hope this helps. Fred

The 9x23 Winchester is indeed a high pressure cartridge, and the brass is much thicker than 9x19 brass. I have two 9x23 Winchester handguns, and it's a powerful round. It would require a stronger recoil spring, among other things, and would...

It's a very small niche business, and hard to make a living at. The dies are time consuming to make, and sometimes get messed up in the tempering stage. C-H discontinued their swaging dies due to this issue, and they were the last source of...

In the late 1970's, I was rangemaster for our department, and we had about 500 Model 59's in service. The largest PD in the county had another 200 Model 59's. Standard practice during qualifications was to shoot the string, operate the safety to...

Nickel is harder than steel, and for that reason alone I don't use nickel cases for swaging bullets. I don't know for sure, but I believe Winchester uses tin for their silver bullets. They used to make their Silver Tip handgun bullets from...

I have nine Star sizers, one knock-off of the Star, and a Magma Sizer. Only the Magma uses O-rings. Hope this helps. Fred

I use Machine Gunner's Lube from Sprinco on all my loading presses, Star machines, firearms and just about anything else that moves. It's one of the few lubes I've found that lives up to it's claims: https://www.sprinco.com/mgl.html Oh, and I...
