Looking at the five gallon buckets of handgun cases in my shop makes me shudder at the thought of even thinking about deburring any of them. My answer is NO, I've never in 57 years of reloading ever deburred a handgun case. Not even when I was...

Slave pins are definitely required to put a Model 88 trigger group back together. I'm told it can't be done without them. There are some Youtube videos on the Model 88 available, if someone really wants to tear into one. Hope this helps. Fred

No gunsmith in his right mind wants to tear one apart. I had a so-called gunsmith call me and want to borrow my Winchester 88, since he had one apart and couldn't get it back together. I asked him why he wanted mine, and he said he wanted to take...

The problem would be in getting enough grip on the bullet to impart spin from the rifling. Sabots are normally made from a plastic that is more "grippy" than the slick plastic the Speer capsules are made from. The plastic the capsules is made from...

That combination wouldn't have "nested", and would have been fine to tumble together. You may get a few .38's stuck on the neck of some .30-30's, but it wouldn't have been a big deal. Hope this helps. Fred

I use Magma lube for just about everything, and it's a hard lube. If you're using a softer lube, it may flow more than a hard lube does. Hope this helps. Fred

I've changed the shape of many cast bullets in my swaging dies. I just lube as normal, then swage. The lube stays in place and holds the lube groove open, as garandsrus mentions. It's super quick and works well. Hope this helps. Fred

If you look at a new primer from the side, you'll notice that the legs of the anvil are set slightly above the lip of the primer cup. This is done by the factory on purpose. When a primer is properly seated, it will be all the way to the bottom of...

I've got three of them, and 9 or 10 rotors. They're a handy little measure for small cartridges. Hope this helps. Fred

One way to prevent two different size cases mating like that, and still being able to tumble them together, is to put the largest cases in first. Let the tumbler run for a minute to fill the larger cases with media, and then dump in the smaller...

Some debris got caught between the stop rod and the edge of the hole and kept it partially open. It never happens at a good time, but turn your back for a minute and that's when it's going to pounce. Hope this helps. Fred
