From the pictures that Wild Miles posted in his articles he used log ramps and log rollers to get the boat up onto flat land away from the river bank. He used comalongs and chains to move the houseboat. It didn't appear to be that big. Must have...

Hi tbx-4: I think you got that barrel from me awhile back. If I remember right it had a nice bore, but a screwed up chamber from someone trying to make a lamp. You could drill it out and put a stub chamber in it. Or maybe cut the chamber off and...

There used to be a guy by the name of Wild Miles that lived up in the Alaskan bush. He lived on a houseboat that he would pull up on the banks of whatever river that he happen to be on when winter caught him. He used to write articles for either...

Ballistics in Scotland is correct. The Wilkinson boolit, produced by Moose Moulds for the .58 Cal 16 groove is very similar to those pictured. I cast the Wilkinson once or twice a year for a man who does several 1000 yard shoots with a similar...

I don't think it's Zinc either. That is a heat color, and not from anything bad in the alloy. Try running the alloy cooler when you render, keep stirring and stirring. When you get the impurities into a mass on top flux it, with more stirring and...
