When I took out insurance for my guns, I was asked if I had a safe. I asked them if they had reviewed my application, and the items listed. I then asked them if they knew of any safe that could hold that. Told them my two safes were full and I...

Look up the maximum charge on their website for each caliber and bullet weight you are loading. Measure and dump into case. See how much room is left in the case. I do not use it...never will...I am too cheap and shoot too much.

I love dogs but am allergic to them. Still planning to get one. Anyway, invest in some night lights. The new ones take no power at all and come on automatically.

asmith80, I have loaded 10's of thousands of cast bullets in Dillon's in 9mm. .38, .44 and .45. Never had a problem with their powder through die's. I have never loaded rifle rounds on a progressive as I do not shoot enough rifle ammunition...

As I get older, I have come to detest recoil. So none of the larger calibers you or others mentioned would be of interest. Also, a light rifle is appealing. I am not fond of casting, and I enjoy an accurate rifle. This leaves a jacketed bullet...

Not sure how much bullet deformation you might be getting when the pressure spikes. You might want to try a few dozen linotype bullets to see if it helps...assuming you are not working up hunting loads. And like AZ suggested, a slower powder. ...

I have had two SD presses. They both worked well. If you only want to load one caliber in quantity on a limited budget, you will be good. As you already have a turret press, getting a 550 may not be your best option unless you have another...

With the climate of ignorance you are dealing with, you might be better off finding another range. Rules that are not enforced will not increase range safety. There are too many idiots out there. Wish you luck.

That is a great question. In my case, it is to get the lead cold so there is no smearing when the sprues are cut. I think a hot mold casts better, but get it too hot, and the sprues will smear and make a mess.

The LGS is quickly pricing its way out of business. But sometimes you have no other choice. To avoid that, look for sales or "free Hazmat" ads from online sellers. Keep a list of powders you need/want and stock up when it is more affordable. ...

If you are slowing down to cool off the mold, try using a damp cloth to cool the sprue plate. Lay cloth on bench, touch the sprue plate on it for a few seconds. It works very well and increases production significantly.
