Agree completely. Your response, DCP, was a non-answer that “proves” to an atheist that there is no good reason we can comprehend of why many bad things happen and God appears to do nothing. Many “inconsistencies” can not be understood or...

You might be weird....but so what!!! Use the equipment you prefer and have confidence in. BTW, I lusted for a Lyman All American when I was young and foolish. Never got one, but have no regrets. Still, for a low volume pistol reloader on a...

I will be blunt....it would be a foolish decision. I had no problems getting accurate light reloads out of my .44 Mag. IMHO the .44 Mag is the best big bore revolver caliber available. Many good bullets for it and about as much recoil as most...

Have shot likely 150k .38 Spl. loads. Any of the fast Shotgun powders will work as well as Bullseye. Although I have over 60 lbs of Promo (Red Dot...is the same), I prefer HP38 for light loads as it meters better. Saving money of pistol powder is...

I would select the bullet and load that is the most effective. In this case, I see no advantage to using a cast bullet...but of course there is the pride factor....alas...one of the deadly sins we are cautioned to avoid. You WILL kick yourself...

The .308 is not “modern”, but it remains accurate, effective, and components will always be affordable and easy to acquire. KISS

If you are a “so so caster”, you may find it rather frustrating to deal with the .223. But then again, it depends on your expectations. 5 MOA @ 2000 fps will be a lot easier than 2MOA @ 2800 fps. It will not require a large investment to start...

Very true. By the time most of us can afford to stock up, we wind up shooting less. I have a LOT of stuff and most of it was acquired over the last 10 years. I am shooting less than 25% of what I used to. Many reasons for that but it is what...

Used a HS short pistol for ISU Rapid Fire competition about 45 years ago. I could not afford the Walther so I was "stuck" with the HS. Great little gun too. Never hunted with shorts as I figured more was better. Even back then, shorts were...

Guys, it is good to see many of you are still having fun at it. And it is interesting that there are some in my boat too. I do not see any way to use a single stage press if someone shoots a lot. When I was competing, it was easy to go...

I recall as a high school lad having fun loading for my .222...the only rifle I owned. I had 40 cases and used a Lee Target Loader. It took a long time to load each one but it was fun. Getting a super accurate load was fun too and I relished the...

Has to be the .38 spl. I have shot more .38's than any other caliber over the 50 years I have been at this. Both rifles and pistols. It is so easy to load, does not lead and is cheap. Can't see the rationale in shooting mousephart loads in...
