I only reload for trap and bird hunting. I have shot thousands of wads without cleaning the barrel(s). I only purchase, Downrange, Winchester, Remington and Spolar wads. They are such a small cost component that saving a few dollars on "economy"...

Typically, CAS bullets will be light weight offerings to keep recoil down as competitive shooters want as little recoil as possible. If I was going to hunt with cast bullets, I would heed the advice of Outpost75.

There will be no difference in pressure between a rifle and pistol load. If your pistols are handling full power .357’s, that is the maximum load....period. Only a fool would load hotter than specification even if the rifle action can withstand...

It would be easier for me...I have no fondness for turkey. Hunting is fun but I do not hunt to eat. Far less expensive for me to buy food than harvest deer. Local store has pork loins for $.99/lb At my deer camp, I would still be welcomed...

If you just want to justify a new toy get the .45. It will not do anything your .44 Mag will not already do. Load your .44 Mag to .45+P ballistics and you will get the lower recoil you want. If having a tiny bit larger diameter bullet is a game...

Try the RCBS dies on the Dillon. If they solve the problem, return the Dillon dies for exchange or credit.

I had a Marlin in .44 Mag and I liked it but was not using it so sold it. I had a Rossi in .45LC and did not like it nearly as much as the .44 Marlin. I have two Marlins in .38/.357 and an Uberti, and love them all. You will never get a...

Regrettably, marksmanship is sorely lacking in general...so touting shot placement is moot. A lot of folks think they are good shots until they need to prove it. My opinion WRT pistol calibers, is that most "hunters" (as opposed to shooters)...

Actually, the math is the easy part. Making a 108* V-block will be the challenge. Like I said earlier....if jacketed bullets work, why mess around with all this effort to get a hunting bullet? You have already wasted $20 and gas to get to the...

If you will only use these cartridges in the single shot, there is no need to crimp unless running very light loads where a crimp will aid in boosting pressure a bit and giving a better burn. I would not crimp them and that avoids your issue and...

Agree. I doubt the barrel is that far out, but if it is, you are in trouble. Easy to check. Shoot some factory ammo. If it groups larger than 3", you have a problem.
