    Yes, it is. however, some people use it for other castings, for sacrificial anodes in sea water and some even cast bullets with it-(I once shot a .50 cal BMG-IIRC they were 275 gr bullets instead of 650-750). A check on that on-line auction site...

    Thanks for the free bump and your comments. Your comment about the difficulty in handling the pigs is well taken--I use a carbide miter saw (chop saw) to reduce the pigs into manageable sizes for melting and pouring into ingots. I've also used a...
