I've been expanding some 223 cases to .357 and I've seen what you're talking about, I think. I get external rings where the shoulder used to be. The only way I can think if to eliminate them is to turn the cases after expanding/fire forming them.

tommag replied to a thread Check your bank accounts in Our Town
I got a text asking if I made some charges on my card. It seems I rented 5 bicycles in San Francisco, paid an immigration service in Canada and paid $26 to watch a video of a kink I'd never heard of until that point. My bank credited it all back...

You'd probably have to use 357max and adjust the case capacity and upper pressure levels. 357ar is a wildcat.

My computer is 300 miles away, so I don't have access to ql. I'm working with the 357ar, based on 223 brass blown out and trimmed to 1.605". The pressures are higher than 357 max by quite a bit, 55k max. Here's what I'm working with. 32.8 grs...

Fermented kraut is so much better than canned kraut! You should try ribs and kraut. I prefer beef, but pork works too. Brown the ribs in a pot till they're good and brown. Add kraut and simmer until the meat is ready to fall off the bone. Serve...

I like the idea of relining the barrel but not many 32 caliber (.321") tubes out there to keep it in the original caliber. But I know that I can get a 30-30 barrel without spending a year or more waiting for a 32 Winchester Special barrel to...

Love my RIA 9x19/38 Super (38 Super Comp Rimless brass) switch barrel pistol. It was originally a 9x19 chambered pistol but then I chambered a new-old stock .38 Super barrel and mated it to the 9x19 slide with a dedicated barrel bushing/spring...

Recoil will not be your friend with that desired velocity. Remington's express load for that bullet weight is rated for 1330fps. TRy to match that first to check your accuracy. You may find you don't need the other 700fps.

Can a Post-64 Winchester 94 barrel be used to replace a shot out Pre-64 barrel on a 1936 manufactured Win94? Are the barrel threading the same or different for the rifles? I intend to rebarrel my worn-out 32 Win Spl but I don't want to pay an...

bruce drake replied to a thread New 35 caliber in Leverguns
I built a Ar15 carbine upper in .30 Herrett Rimless last fall. It is made from a trimmed and formed 6.8SPC cartridge case. The 6.8 SPC is a direct descendant of the 30 Remington case. Its just shorter and necked up to 30 caliber. Its formed...

When the Cambrian measures were forming, They promised perpetual peace.
They swore, if we gave them our weapons, that the wars of the tribes would cease.
But when we disarmed They sold us and delivered us bound to our foe,
And the Gods of the Copybook Headings said: "Stick to the Devil you know."
