    I have about a dozen krags. rifles from a converted 92 to a 1901. carbines 96,98 and a 99. I shot a point with the 99 using the 311299 loaded to 1800 fps. one shot went through end to end front to back.

    I bought a unmodified three screw .357 convertible. it is a post 68 model which it has the hyphen in the seral number. as in xx-xxxx. it has the box and papers. I paid $550 four years ago.

    Yes I've done it many times. In spite of the smaller diameter of the 40 case, they shot surprisingly well.

    Winchesters have a take up if they should work lose. if the sights are both on the barrel I don't think there would be a problem. at least I have never had any with an of my take downs.

    you can shoot and kill deer at 200 yd. with a muzzleloader using real b-p and cast bullets. you are justnot going to walk into a store and buy one. just read about the old guys. they shot 20 rod matches {220yd}.

    I went in to buy another gun safe all they had was those electronic locks. i left with outa safe. if it does not have a s & g combination lock it does not come home. after all it takes no time at all to run the combination especially if you do it...

    I keep a 92 in .25-20 by the kitchen door . I have shot quite a few in the yard. not only the holes they will chew up everything wires on cars. we rewired a friends corvette 3 times. I have lost 2 gas jugs to them.

    I thought pa. was bad when we can not us semiauto rifles. but we can use any rifle caliber. i know some that use rifles made in .50 bmg. they will not shoot at anything under 1000 yd. I worked with a guy that used a .375 mag. in the apple orchards...

    no they were converted in the 50's when those countries got tons of .30-06 ammo from us when we went to the .308. most were south American countries. also the Germans were out of the arms and ammo business for a long time.

    a lot of mausers were converted to .30-06 by the country they were used in. I have a Brazilin, a Peruvian and one from Columbia. all military and correct.
