    I would say if you are going to get it rebored to shoot bullets. have some one make and install a false muzzle so it an be clamped and rifled with the barrel.

    what it now? if a .45 it could be scraped out to take a .451 ball. if a .36 it would make a good .38. then I would go with the reline route. bob hoyt in Fairfield pa. would be the guy to talk to.

    as with all things in life there is the proper way to use something and then there is the improper way. I have used wd-40 for 40 years with out a problem. I have seen some use it for one week and gum every thing up.

    when thy are that close to the end. I use a dent puller. the slide hammer will pull it out. I have used a hydraulic press and pushed them put.

    what is the barrel across the flats? I think it is 3/4. find a barrel and fit it to the stock.

    why not get a .45 barrel for the rifle he has already? the stock fits. a .45 prb will kill a deer easy even at 100 yds.

    I have a old lyman in .400. if all else fails bring your lead up and make a run. there is a gun shop near me that has some old lyman molds. I will check and see what they have.
