    it was the navy that went with the .308 grand. it was cheaper then buying m14 rifles. h&r did the work. if the barrel was good the rifle got the sleeve which some times came out. if the barrel needed replacement the new barrel was chambered in .308.

    yes the jungle carbine does kick with military ball. that is why they have a rubber recoil pad. if the pad is missing or just hard it hurts more then it helps. I use a load of lyman 311299 loaded to 1600 fps. that load shoots good and drops deer.

    I have been shooting in matches since 85 all I use is spit. about 60 shots in a day no fouling problems at all. if I do have to wipe just use a patch I held in my mouth for the last shot.

    plumbing is at least three trips to the hardware store . electric I get it figured out after I get shocked twice. we are remodeling the master bedroom. tore out 4 stupid built closets . had to take out two receptacles got shocked once.

    left out the m1 carbine bolt. took it apart 3 days later when I found the spring. I found a guy that had the tool to put it back together. yes it gets the carb. cleaner treatment too.

    I made up mine out of shot bags. but paint legs do work. I lined mine with plastic bags and used cat litter instead of sand. when you cut the legs off save the other part sew the leg hoes shut put on a carry strap. sell them cot shopping bags.
