    in pa. if you have a licenses to carry you can carry any hand gun you want loaded. I carry a browning n-p with me all the time. but the bunny cops case problems if you have a loaded long gun in the truck.

    I think uberti is making them in .44spl. now. I have a 66 uberti in .44-40 it handles well I use it for deer. it shoots about as far as I can safely. a .30-30 will carry too far.

    first check with the bunny cops. to see if it is legal. then if it is. lyman had a 215 gr rnfp mold that is like the old marlin bullet. mine is gas checked works great in the .44-40 with b-p.

    I have fixed more then one s-b lathe with broke back gear teeth. best way to remove a stuck chuck it to make a clamp block with a long handle that clamps to the back part of the spindle then you can use a long bar in the chuck. that way you are...

    I picked up one many years ago in .44-40 it is marked western arms. which was made by uberti. shoots great. I use it for deer hunting on the farm.

    yes they did make some in centerfire in later production. so now we have what I have seen a 66 that could be bought at a reasonable cost will be well used. one that will be in shooting condition will be $10,000 plus. I have a uberti 66 in .44-40...

    after breaking my leg the first time. I went to a kneeling setting. a sand bad is strapped to right ankle would kneel and set back on the bag. was very stable. but after breaking the leg again both setting and kneeling are out now.

    I prefer south-bends because I have 3 now and parts are plentiful. but if I had a good working Sheldon lathe I would be just as happy. you did good. I hope you get that old American iron running.

    i have shot for years cutting the patch at the muzzle. the knife is a old hickory parring knife. now forthe simple you don't drag the knife blade across the muzzle. you cut it just above the muzzle.

    started with a lyman 310 tool then went to a used liberty. still have the liberty have replaced the pins a few times. loaded a lot of hand dipped 358429's both light and skeeter skelton loads in .38 cases. because .357 cases were hard to come by.
