The ZX14 is soooooo tempting. Owned a 2012 Concours and it was pretty quick. I bet the 14 is on a whole other level. Been watching the used classifieds looking for a late model Concours, ZX14, or 2019 or newer Versys 1000.

I plan on buying one of these when they hit the states: https://www.rideapart.com/articles/405943/honda-ct125-hunter-cub-overview/ Dual range transmission, should make a great bike to travel the woods after installing decent tires.

Lar45, I think BFR got tired of replacing/cutting down incorrectly advertised barrel lengths. IIRC my 500 JRH was purchased in 2011 and as soon as I received it sent it back to BFR on their dime to have the barrel length rectified. On another...

Seems like the project is dead in the water. OP hasn't posted here in over 3 years.

Not in today’s world. I just purchased a BFR in 475/480. It was described as having a 6.5 inch barrel. The barrel measures 6.5 inches from one end to the other. But 8-10 years ago what you stated was mostly true.

Could try lowering the powder charge to decrease velocity. The slower the bullet the higher they usually hit.

You guys made me rethink what a kit gun is. Used to think it was a lightweight .22 double action revolver. Now I am giving some serious thought to a 4 inch 38 special with some warm loads. Have to keep an eye out for a new toy. Great thread.

The BFR is worth double what a SBH costs. But we all have a budget to follow and I understand that.

There is a reason BFR started offering a factory Bisley grip last year or so. I can handle a 44 mag or 45 Colt with stiff loads in a plow handle or double action revolver. Anything with more recoil and Bisley wins hands down.

Plenty of dealers stock Freedom Arms, same as BFR's. And both Freedom Arms and BFR have custom order departments where you can go as crazy (expensive) as you like. Visit Linebaughs site, his "conversions" start at $3,800 and can easily hit close...

Have owned many Rugers and a few Freedom Arms and a BFR. Just a few days ago decided I wanted a 475/480 so purchased a new BFR Bisley with 6.5 barrel on Gunbrokers. It cost $1,029. Rugers have always been hit and miss for me (and many others as...

A 12 year old could list a gun and photos on Gunbrokers. Its free, until the item sells. Is there a reason your friend can't package them and take them to a post office?

Just purchased some handguns that I been putting off buying. Prices have seemed to drop in the last month or two so glad I waited. First up is a BFR Bisley in 475/480 with the 6.5 inch barrel. Plan on getting back into deer hunting with a revolver...

Ironic how much of a disaster they are supposed to be to the USA. But haven't they been living in Japan for centuries?

Been riding since 1973. Current rides are a 2018 V Strom 1000 and a 2019 Kawasaki Z400. Always owned bigger, heavier, fast bikes. Remember those days when you buzzed around on a small light bike? Something that was pretty quick and handled great...

European hornets love light. During the summer they dive bomb outside light fixtures till they kill themselves. We always find a dozen or so dead in the AM on the front porch or driveway. They will also fly into a campfire. For you that are...

Last 30 years I owned Stihls and Huskies. Bought my first Echo about 3 years ago. I now own 3 Echos. I'll never buy another Stihl or Husky again. My next purchase will be a Echo 620.
