My loves and took ownership of my Ruger .22 Semi Auto pistol with a 4 inch barrel. I tried her with 9mm, .38 Special, and a .380 Walther. Nothing suited her except that Ruger .22 pistol. My fingers get sore reloading mags when I take her...

I like post 3 and post 4. think about it, the ones that come out right shot well so you do have valid data. after you settle in again with consistent loads, and if you see the anomaly rear up on a consistent or semi-consistent basis, then reducing...

yep you can insert them in a berm at 1800 fps you just can't rotate them around a steel rim at 400 rpm. sumthin about idiot birds following cars around waiting for parts to fall off so they can eat them.

we use pure to make varmint bullets. kind of backwards from the malleability thing you'd expect. if you got pure to mix with the ww's I'd test some 30-1.

I think I would re-line it too. after I went through all the trouble of making some shot shells and playing around shooting grass hoppers and bees and stuff for a while.

if the burn rate is a medium speed powder then reducing it should pose no issue. 43 grs under a 150 sounds like it is in the 4064/varget area and a reduction to 70% would do nothing more than slow the bullet down. a ball powder like Outpost...

you can only draw the alloy down to it's original air cooled hardness. you can temporarily soften it past that point but it will be back at it's bhn within a week. 15 minutes in an oven does nothing to change that.

I went down this road. put a gas check on the base and water drop your softer alloy. you can then get to 1900 fps without all the gyrations.

I have been satisfied with Chippewa boots. Too bad the pollution stays in China if the US environmental regulations are at issue.

462 is 45-70 territory. check to see if it ain't a smoothbore. they used to make a 44-40 chambered shot type round that had a wooden type bullet full of rat shot.

runfiverun replied to a thread .308 from 5.7 cases in Swaging
yeah a tapered round nose would mimic many of the older 30-30 bullets like the win power point. only I think the 5.7 jacket would be a bit thinner. I have used the no neck cases and left the die set to make the longer full length h-points, it...

it probably wasn't all that quiet in the revolver either. I have loads I shoot in my leverguns that are minimum loads but entirely adequate for their intended use. and they are downright obnoxious in the Dan Wesson even with the gap set to about...

the handgun section or cast boolits section. either one will be fine since it's probably more about the chrono than the gun.
