, solid guns but the NID is much prefered in the woos. Seems today no one considers handling qualities to be important. To each their own, if you like Marlins thats ni e, but others like 94s, for other reasons than nostalgia. How the heck that...

Different sttokes different folks. Personally speaking the top eject BB94s are much better than any Marlin I have ever touched. That 15% additional weight and bulky handling serve me no positive. I dont put "optics" on my levers so the solid top is...

That has been my experience as well, I have come to dislike tang sights on hunting rifles. As stated, they interfeer with my hand, reciever sight is mo betta, for my uses anyway. Can't remember if my early BB94 is tapped or not, I will check in the...

Me too! I had 35 Rem brass and dies for over 10 years before I found the right rifle. Bit before the gunbroker era, wouldn't have taken 10 days now! Op, you chose well.

Yep, can't imagine my driver doing that! My driveway is right at 1/4 mile, they put it on my porch anyway. Would your driver have trouble turning the truck around at your house? If so he should just walk it up to the house, I would think their...

Barr , looking at some links from researching the same on mine, I found reference to BB445xx made in 1980. My BB122xx was 1979. Going to guess 1980 for yours. Not a lot of documentation on the top ejects and date of manufacture. Introduction was...

If we were logical creatures a LOT of cartridges wouldn't exist. Personally all the mid bores (.24 up to .30) hold no interest. Too much easier to cast good 30 caliber bullets and, get them to shoot well. That doesn't mean other folks will not find...

From what you describe, deer and hogs with a peep sight, you will be well served with a top enect 375. I like mine, light, accurate, and plenty of power. The flatter trajectory comes with more recoil and is hard to justify without a scope. I shoot...

I have seen this with seberal 22s over the years. I tried everything I could think of with a remington tubefed bolt gun. Finally traded it as it was useless a a squirrel gun. I presently have 10-22 that dose it. It did it as a bull barrel, turned...

Read some and follow the links from those those threads, may help to refine what you want. I believe there are several 307 shooters on here, they will chime in. Memory tells me the 307 was Winchester wanting to put the 308 into their beefed up 94....

Glad I read this. Their 16ga ammo is better than decent, and frequently on sale. Have had good experience with 5 flats of 16ga. I had been considering trying the 9mm and 40, thanks for posting your experience.

Its going to have 16 or so grooves vs the 5 or 6 in a "normal" barrel. Look down the bore of any marlin 22 you can pick up and you will see what is described. I am not a Marlin owner, but do some reading ON THIS FORUM before going with the common...

I'm in too, I like them and use them all the time. A set calibrated around 2400 in .5 gr increments would be handy. Might be nice for each set to have a duplicate at every even gr weight to customize, or just buy two sets !!!
