Go ahead and send it off, sooner you send it the sooner you get it back:) But I am assuming they are taking orders????Dave Clements quoted me 14 months, actually only took 9. Most of the wait time is in reboring the barrel. You could pickup a...

Adam, I do not have a 32 but my 30 Remington feeds 31141 and the 165 ranch dog perfectly, as long as they are less than the max COL spec for the 30 Rem. I am aware the acknowledged expert on these guns says only roundnose, just saying I have not...

After I posted I got to thinking might be a smooth bore. Never realized Knight made one. I enjoy hunting them with a 36 flint longrifle, but it has been a while. With the 36 and 30gr of FFF, best make sure it’s a head shot. I shot one I thought was...

NoZombies, that is one cool K frame! Little cartridge of yours would be sweet in a long battled rifle, like a 67 maybe :) Sure wish Tennessee slowed centerfire for small game.

Interesting, I have a B 1885 straight stocked 06 as well. Put a few deer in the freezer with it and have been considering it trade material. Perhaps I should play witg it a bit more. Watching to see what loads you like, shorten my process you know.

I am of the camp you referenced, if it allows a couple thou for case neck to release in the chamber it is good to go. That does not apply to the extreme of 300BO in a 223, just cause it fits donít make it ok! Use common sense. That said I use a .459...

I use reclaimed shot for base metal to make Lyman #2 ish, then cut that 50:50 with plain lead at the pot. The shot contains a decent amount of copper as well as the arsenic. Might be an easy way to add the copper you want, it’s already in solution....

That ND study admitted they had no controls and therefore indeterminate results. Do you really expect them to do a study($$$) then report “oops, forgot the control group” need more $$$ for another study. They did a study and reported the only “safe”...

Those 52 Sporters are the ultimate 22 in my eyes. The originals are few and far between, and when found fetch a pretty penny. When I realized I shot more 22lr than anything else and it was more enjoyable, I decided to buy myself a top drawer 22 bolt...

Great hunt, those will make fine eats! My experience is you have hams on those deer that will be better than backstraps from a “trophy” buck. They are all prized in my book, congrats on a successful hunt. Oh, fine looking youngster there as well!

Sako L46 in 222 Rem fills the bill for me, but a CZ 547 in Hornet is right there as well. The CZ should be lots easier to find, and might even find a 221 Fireball, exec better! That Sako is from the 50s, only CZ makes them like that nowadays. I...

Hey, sometimes you just go out to “shoot some food”, all is good. I will be hunting this year with an 87gr hotcore, first planned hunt with jacketed in near 20 years. Got to experience the M99 and I am not real comfortable with lightweight 25 cast...

Good shooting! Love those 141s, been making meat for a good long time. Your load is really close to mine, seems to work well on paper and eats! I took a hog with mine last year, and several deer over the prior years. You really don’t have to push...

Took my Charger out for a squirrel walk yesterday afternoon. Only saw 3, pretty windy and hardly any leaves off the trees yet. Two head shots for two rounds fired, 3rd one never slowed down to give me a shot. 25 to 30 yard shots and I was glad for...

According to my math you need a 3/8 inch lower front sight, lots of filing. Or raise the read another 3/8 inch above maxed out up! Figured 28 inches between front and rear sight, for 12 inch move at 25 yards, dang that’s a lot!! Is it possible they...
