Another vote for the 311041, hp would be nice but not strictly required. I like the rd 311165 but it is a bit tubby in the throat for my late 50s 94. Shoots fine but is seated below the crimp groove to camber easily. Ypur later gun could easily be...

I am somewhat of a pre 64 snob. That said, I find my 78 BB94 every bit the match for my pre 64 30-30 carbine. Now thr 60s guns with the stamped lifter and roll pins not so much. In 64 when Winchster dropped the M12, changed the M70 and 94 designs...

Same here, dont let it get away. Mine is 78 vintage, trusting my memory. I shoot 38-55 brass and loads from standard level to mild 375 level. For me it's a very strong 38-55 with a .376 bore ! Light, accurate, and plenty powerful for my needs. It...

Close race between 30wcf and 375 Win. Both in Win 94, one pre 64 the other a BB94. I like the light weight and handling qualites of these guns and can still use the factory sights effectively. Guess I would go for the 375 loaded as a +p 38-55 it is...

Ill second that! They do not come out easily. Probably best to push out the pins, saw it off in front of the block and bore it out on the laythe. TC did not intend for them to come loose. I used a donor 243 to make my 30 special buy pressing out the...

Slightly flare a case and check that it really dose not extend into the throat. My BB94 in 375 has 2.10 deep chamber, I use Starline 38-55 brass at 2.085 in it. Dont know or care if it will take full on. 50k 375 loads, Im quite happy at 38-55 +p....

Thanks, theres a big brother Redhawk 5 inch and a 3 inch 327 Fed Sp101lil brother. The mid frame big bores do everything I need and carry way better than the Redhawk beast. Shot the 44 a bit yesterday, the grip looks great, but my thumb knuckle gets...

And from the business end, Clement's 41 special on the left then the Lipsey's 44 special and an early 357. The 44 is the first new in box Ruger Ive bought since the 357 GP, arround 84 or 85. I may stop here, 2 good ones out of 2 tries !

I have an 83, bought it the year they came out. Its a hornet now and I picked up a damaged 243 barrel and made me a 30special( 38 special necked to 30. Cal). Elegant little rifle, kinda heavy but easy to shoot with the set triggers. I am always...

Gun Digest was my favorite, shooters bible seemed to only have a few articles. I have all from #1 up to 2000,at that point they seemed to not have much of interest to me. Maybe need to check out a new one, thanks for the reminder. I still drag one...

Well, I waited to read others comments to see if my thoughts would change. I voted 32sw due to the nice little kit guns its chambered in. 32hr would have been there but the J frames are too scarce with the 3 or 4 inch barrels. I've got a 3 inch 327...

#1 I tested stingers in several very accurate rifles in the late 70s. They shot about a "modified choke" pattern, never fooled with them again. That out of the way, stingers have a longer case and a chamber cut to work with them wont be optimal with...

Efficiency, the case is the right size to get a midweight 30 caliber bullet to a good velocity for hunting and small enough to fit in a truly small action. And a 358 Win does everthing better, better
