The one I processed had just been launched off my Regal’s hood at 50mph! Text the TWRA guy and he said he would drop me a tag if I wanted. Law says they of local law needs to Give permission.

An interesting link, only slightly off topic but relevant. https://www.google.com/amp/s/karavansara.live/2016/02/20/a-rook-gun-and-a-winchester/amp/ And quite interesting reading. The value of a rook rifle, or for us a 22 . Peter Fleming is...

Last day of Tn squirrel season, real windy and they were twitchy in the big woods. That one thought he was invisible at about 55 yards, he was tasty with biscuits! My 1969 T bolt that was a Christmas present from my parents in 1970! One of my most...

A butcher told me there is a very short window of time to salvage any meat from a road kill. The blood settles in the meat, even what was not directly hit. Makes the skin on process a plus. At least salvage something from the coyotes!

Oh yes, I really like the vintage 22 bolts, especially the single shots. A 67 and 67A, Remington M33, Winchester 47 and its repeater version the M69. Then the Rem 41, and my favotite a first yeat M69 Winchester. They are slim and not the least picky...

Well, update, I found the entrance hole in the near shoulder. Literally will eat right up to it, anout a half inch dia. My bullet did shed it's gas check in that hole. Thats how I found it, no bloodshot at all. So the bone shards from the broken...

I don't care for the carbines, stock or otherwise. Now I do like the walnut sporters, especially the 22inch version. As far as stock, we’ll they remain Ruger. I despise the extended mag release, so that gets swapped to an older Ruger one. The...

I use the NOE Harris designed 168 gr in my alloy. Also a 202gr K31 bullet, even with the very underside nose it shoots very well. I am using RL7 and AA2230c, getting ready to try H4895. I am using a Ruger No1, so my load with the K31 bullet is too...

No need of pc or gas check at that velocity range. I agree with the heavy for caliber, good sectional density to carry on thru, makes the best use of the “bang”. NOE has a 230gr Ranch Dog design that is a 35 caliber version of the 165 30 caliber....

Good evening, there is a group buy going on the N.O.E. 311-190 FN (30 Hunter). I have a Ruger No1 in 7.62x39 that shoots the NOE k31 bullet quite well, even with the undersized nose. Suspect that is due to the good fit in the throat, my load would...

The purpose of choke is to control the pattern distribution and is measured in % of the pellets in a 30 inch circle at 40 yards. Measuring the bore and choke to arrive at a "constriction" is a frequently used expedient, also how they are sold. Not...
