I dont do any hard cast. The other 2 kinda depends, caliber, distance, other. Now bear I would chose a .4?? with a nice flat nose and ductile alloy, but it is academics since I have never bear hunted. That just from experiences shooting deer with...

Have become moderately interested in a Rughe American in 35L. So I go to their website and find that I can only get that caliber with an AR mag. I hate magazines that are not flish on my hunting rifles. So I would like to read that Ruger has decided...

900$ !!! Nuts, and I have a couple 760s. You can get you 2 nice 141s in 35 Rem for that cash, and have better rifles.

The car jack based ones are big time overkill, if you have a bar clamp out in the shop it will do fine. When I saw you had removed the first stage I thought it would be prudent to warn about the bear trap. Some trigger systems use the first stage to...

Air guns are the way to set up within a school. There are established 10 meter competition programs and air rifles designed for the purpose. Also established training materials. They learn the fundamentals of marksmanship and safety procedures that...

Be very careful about trigger adjustments on springers, especially barrel cockers. They can remove a finger when loading if the sear slips and you are not fully controlling the barrel. I know nothing about the design on your gun, just a caution....

You need a spring compressor. I have done many of them using an appropriate barclamp. Take the barrel off and cut a hardwood block to fit in the yoke. Get the end cap, spring and action between the jaws and tighten the clamp to draw everything...

I have refrained from reading any of the marketing slop, it turns me against the round just cause. I am interested in what folks are seeing with the 200RCBS and it’s clones out of the Ruger American. Not interested in the lightweight gummy points or...

I have a 45 Colt Win Low Wall trad hunter. The fired brass will let a .460 bullet drop right in! The chamber is huge in dia. I suspect your chamber is like mine, see what the id of the fired case mouth is. I neck size my brass with an odd die and...

That picture of the stainless gp100 in 41special is the primary cause of m ownership of a blued gp100 in 41! It makes n awesome combination. The 5 inch blued 44 did not come with extra holes in the barrel, at least mine and my buddy’s didn’t. They...

Having bought it used at a good deal, I would let it go as well. If the time comes when you AND the kids want to compete then be patient and find another good deal on a used Dillon. I gave 125$ for my SDB in 38 and 100 for my 450 set up for...

Neat idea for someone already in position of the x39 reamer. Basically a 3herrett, I like the idea. A further thought on protecting the action from future use of hi pressure ammo. If you short chambered, even a half mm then a factory x39 would not...

I like it, didn’t think I would like the brass, but it works. I have one in 28ga that someone cold blued. I am going to rust blue it, but might think on brass plating the frame as the prior owner destroyed the case coloring. Would you mind posting...

Keeping things basic, the bolt thrust is the perk pressure times the area of the case at the web. The case is basically a piston operated on by the gasses at chamber pressure. A 357 case is .375ish so area is roughly .110 sq inch. A 45 Colt case is...

I would hope it is in your position by now! Friend of mine has his Grandads, stamped 22long, he lengthened chamber and changed out something in the feed, probably elevator. He uses ONLY std velocity or subsonic in it, but long rifles work fine.
