Hello,

I have a double cavity Lee Mold 90413 for a 45 acp 155 grain SWC. I guess it is discontinued by Lee as they don't show it in their catalog.

I would like to get a six cavity mold for this. Will Lee make me such a thing? Would anyone be interested in a group buy for such a bullet? I'm ignorant about how the group buy thing works. I've read about it here so I think I understand it. But as this is a bullet that they have made in the past I don't know what can or can't be done

I really like these due to the relatively small amount of lead they use for everyday practice. Saving 45 to 75 grains per bullet over a 200 to 230 grain bullet adds up to a lot more bullets from the same pile of wheel weights.

Thanks for any help or advice. Heck, I would be interested in purchasing additional double cavity molds of this same bullet if nothing else so when I wear out the first one I have back up.

LEE used to make a six cavity in this mold. I found one after looking for 8 months on a dealers table, but I doubt that any are left now. LEE could make you one or a group buy could be started. The $100 setup fee would apply until you got 25 buyers though.

Id be interested if you started a group buy.

I've looked for a mould for this bullet, without success. I sure do like six cavities!

Well I'm willing to run a group buy for this 6 holer, but I need some guidance on how to.

Can somebody help get me started?

Thank you,

Another 45 cal lightweight that Lee has is the 452-160RF. Only listed in the 2 holer mold tho.

Run it and I will buy one .

I found my old 2 holer ran .4535 with a soft alloy and was most accurate at that dia.
At least in the loads I shot .
So make it big enough , can always size them down

look in the group buy section of this mold for advice in how to run a group buy.

I'd be in for two.

KS, I've forwarded your candidacy for sainthood to the Vatican. I believe that Lee discontinued this mold five or six years ago; I'd been searching the known universe for this mold for three or four years and had despaired of ever finding one; then blindly stumbled upon the last extant new six-banger (Lee # 90417). I've been treating this mold as if it were an eggshell, fearing that if I ham-fisted it to ruination I'd never be able to replace it, so I'm really hoping that your planned group buy gets off the ground (I'll second the .4535 dia.).
FYI, I did, after despairing of ever finding a 155-SWC, get the Lee .452-160-RF. While it may make a fine revolter boolit, it's a major headache in a 1911.
