Opening day of center fire deer season in KS today. After sitting for about 45 mins along comes a five point buck (one tine was broke off) One shot from an early 50s Win 94 30-30 slinging a 165 Ranch Dog boolit and the hunt was over. The deer ran about 30 yards and fell over dead.
I took pictures with the cell phone camera only to find out it is not able to download them, only email.
I believe I deleted the deer picture but figured out how to get the one of the tools I used to field dress it. They are both hand made, the knife was a coil spring and would still shave when done and the hawk has a hard steel bit folded between the outer layers.
