MiHec RCBS 45-270-SAA Brass Cramer style four cavity. Nice, easy casting, .455 diameter, 283-284 grains, straight wheelweights, air cooled. Should be some good shoooooooootin stuff.

Thanks guys. The mould surely is easy to use. I ran it with a 4 cavity Lyman 429421 & a 2 cavity Ballist-Cast #928 under a Magma Master Pot. I used 50 pounds of wheel weights in a hurry I'm tellin' ya. HEE HEE

The Ballisti-Cast #928

That's a nice bullet. It would be perfect for my Bisely Blackhawk. I sure wish that I had paid attention and gotten in on that group buy.

Enjoy!

BRP (BABore) can make you one up any time.

454-283 SWC

The bullet is 45 2.1's design which I believe is the one used in the MiHec GB. BRP can HP one cavity or multiple cavities of a mold. The only thing is he doesn't use brass, only aluminum for mold material.

I contacted them and asked, but unlike the four cavity version that was obtained through the group buy, they only market the two cavity version. I cast too many bullets to use a two cavity mould.

Just my luck! Maybe I'll take note in time the next time around.

Are you sure it was me you contacted? I can make that mold in a 1C to 5C as a solid and put a HP in one of the cavities, or I can do a 2C or 4C all HP mold. I'm the only one here who takes mold questions

The Original Poster identified it as a MiHec mould. He said:

"MiHec RCBS 45-270-SAA Brass Cramer style four cavity. Nice, easy casting, .455 diameter, 283-284 grains, straight wheelweights, air cooled. Should be some good shoooooooootin stuff."

I had previously contacted MiHec by email after learning of the recently closed Group Buy for a four cavity brass mould for this or a similar bullet. They told me that they had two cavity moulds for the same bullet in either hollow point or flat nosed configuration, but that the four cavity models were all sold.

I'm not sure how you got thrown into the mix, but Welcome Aboard!
