I've got the LEE 140 gr SWC.

Does not leave much powder capacity.

thanks for replys.

just looking for a common cast bullet to shoot both in 38spl. and 9mm. i'm just shooting holes in paper.

accuracy would be nice, but speed is not an issue. know the bullets would work fine in the 38spl.

big question is the 9mm, will these bullets feed in a 9mm and powder (lack of) capacity in the 9mm case. using 3.5 grains of hp38 and a 135grain bullets from 2 alpha bullet co.

thanks.

I've had good luck with the Lee 358-125 RF in my Hi Power. Feeds fine, accuracy OK, still working out the best load, I'm using. 6.5 to 7.0 gr Blue Dot and need to shoot some more targets and drag out the chrono to settle on exact charge.

Sorry, no help with the bullets you listed.

I've shot Lyman 358156's using both unique and bullseye. Yes there is not much powder capacity in the case but if you do some research and tinker with it anthing is possible. These showed no abnormal pressure signs and were pretty accurate in my S&W 439. If you can find some older manuals you will find loads listed for heavier boolits. I started lower than the loads listed in my manuals. Older manuals list hot loads by todays standards so I started lower than the listed loads and it worked great for me. Be safe and have fun.

I use this same bullet (125 RF sized .358) with good results in my Taurus PT99 and SIG P226. It will not reliably chamber in my CZ75 though.

I just ordered the LEE 358 105 gr SWC to see if I can get it to chamber better.

Any smaller than .358 I get poor accuracy.

Whether the boolets you mentioned work for you could depend on what gun you are shooting.

I use this boolit in my .380, 9mm and .38 speccial. It's accurate, cuts a clean hole, little recoil and works great. I haven't received it yet, but I just bought the Ranch Dog TL.358-100-RF to use in the .380 and 9mm, but it should work also in the .38.

I can't get the Lee 358-140-swc to be anymore than about an 80% feeder in my CZ75. Maybe it could do better if I played with OAL somemore. The RCBS 358-140-cm feeds 100% of the time though so you may look at bullet nose profile.

............I like the Lee 358-125-RF in my Witness 38 Super (don't have a 9x19).

I use the Lee 158grn RN .358" tumble lube in my Browning HP 9mm. I use Bullseye and have no problem with cycling. You do have to be carefull in making sure the rounds will chamber correctly. If the bullet is seated too far down it increases the case diameter and it will not go all the way into the chamber. That is the only problem I have come across in using that bullet in a 9mm. Hi-powers are known for having a slightly larger bore, .356.5"-.358", than most other 9's.

I load the lee 102, 125, and a 150 rn (that they don't make anymore) in my nines. They cast out at 357 and I lube in a 358 lube die. Medium hard lube. I use Tite Group (3.5gr) with the 150 and 4.5 with the 102 and 4.0 gr with the 125. Works great in my G19 and Ruger 95s

it probably doesn't apply to your question but I load the Lee .358 - 150 gr RN for my Contender 9mm carbine. Of all the boolits and jacketed I have tried from 90 to 150 gr., it is the most accurate in front of 4.6 gr of Unique. For close in coyotes, it is a real stopper.

On the advice of wise people from this board I switched to a Lee 358-125-RF mold designed for the 38 Special and it shoots much better in my CZ than the 356 bollits I was rattling down the barrel previously.

They drop at .362 though and I bought a 358 sizing die.

You need to seat them at 1.01oal before they will chamber reliably in the CZ 75. Mine has digested thousands. Load at minimum charge grains.

I use the Lee 140SWC in my Glocks. No problems, I only load to a 136PF. OAL is 1.135 just like my 147s loads.

I used the Lee 140 grain SWC in 38 Super starting back in the early 80's, never used it in a nine.

I used the lee 158 gr. rnf sized at .358 in a ruger sr9 and a p95 both guns fed it great. and for both Guns I used the barrel as a guide for bullet seating depth. 100% feeding the sr9 was brand new the p95 was well broke in. I think the 125 gr rnf would be a great choice for a double duty bullet

LEE 125 gr. RF over 5.4 gr AA5 shoots well in a Glock with aftermarket barrel. 1050 fps ave. Shot them through the factory barrel for years with no issues.
Switched as all I shoot is cast.

4.0 gr. Unique works well 1030 fps ave. Took it up to 4.4 unique 1124 ave. 4.4 was as high as I went, and moved back to 4.0 gr.

The Lee 150 rn runs very well for me in 9mm over power pistol. Even sized down to .357 I have to seat them fairly deep to get reliable function, but they do run well.

I tried the 105 SWCs in my Polymer 80 (Glock 17 clone) and could not get them to feed.

There is a lot of info on that boolit. They have to be seated correctly, can't use the crimp groove for 9mm. They run in every pistol I have. I use 4gr of Red Dot and have had good results.

I also shoot lee 358 125g rf. Sized to 357 in 9mm. I have to seat to past the crimp groove, but thats doesnt seem to be a problem. 5.2g unique shoot great out of ruger pcc and glock 43x and 19g5.
